Young are precocial and can crawl soon after birth and are born capable of eating solid food. There are rumors of some laying eggs but appears to be an alternate means of reproduction rather than the sole one, like seen in some lizards who alternate reproduction methods based on environmental factors
Perhaps due to empty nest syndrome of having leftover parental instincts , many take to adopting pets . Due to scent being far different than other humanoids, they have had better success taming dungeon monsters who are otherwise primed to attack humanoids
Rarely one may be born with breasts as a case of atavism. Milk production in these cases is poor compared to other humanoid species.
They can regenerate limbs but doing so without the assistance of healing magic can put stress on body that negatively affects lifespan. Some will choose to use certain drugs and cauterizing to make the limb loss permanent rather than go through that.
Some of those certain professions, like those that ride mounts, will remove their tails permanently
