After complaints from Sikh groups, the state of Illinois is reportedly telling DMV workers that anyone wearing a religious head covering doesn’t have to take it off for a driver’s license or photo ID.

ਹਾਲ ‘ਚ ਚੀਨ ‘ਚ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋਏ ਫੀਬਾ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਕੱਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ 2 ਸਿੱਖ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੀਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡ ਦੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ‘ਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਟਕਾ ਲਾਹੁਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ।ਮੈਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲ਼ਾਂ ਮੈਚ ਦੇ ਰੈਫਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਕੇ ਉਤਾਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਹਾਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬਾਕਸਿੰਗ ‘ਚ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਸਕਿਟਬਾਲ ‘ਚ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਈ ਗਈ।
