recruiter/salesman hcs !!
below cut!
— His actual identity is still unknown for he mainly works with illegal documents which a colleague involved in the games fabricated for him; nobody knows why he is the way he is or what is his specific story for he doesn't share much about it, but his "assigned" name is Baek Yoon-Jae (백윤재) Baek (백 / 白): A common Korean surname that literally means "white" or "pure." Yoon-jae (윤재): A gender-neutral given name. The meanings depend on the hanja (Chinese characters) used. It commonly combines Yoon (윤), meaning "upright, sincere, or govern," with Jae (재), meaning "talent, ability, or wealth". One of these is a truth, the other a lie: the recruiter is extremely talented in what he does and is a skilled manipulator and talented at ddakji, his signature game, however he isn't sincere at all, but rather, a pathological liar.
** As Baek Yoon-Jae, he just appears like a well-intentioned police captain, sure with an odd, slightly theatrical attitude and tendency to appear out of thin air almost as if he could teleport/is in multiple places at the same time, average guy that you can sense is fucked thanks to your nagging sixth sense, but everything he does keeps proving you wrong; strong moral code, ideals, follows the law and is strict even about departments that don't concern him. People somehow feel safe around him, and he can easily get out witness confessions without resorting to brute means. Intimidating but because nothing seems to really affect him. He presents differently than the Recruiter persona— it's hard to explain, but he looks more "lively", has curlier hair and side bangs (how Gong-yoo's hair would actually look naturally, no gel etc.), and somewhat slightly bigger eyes than the recruiter. He even wears the marriage ring he got in Thailand w Jang Man-soo (M/O) but as the recruiter he removes it.
** As the recruiter he slicks his hair back, dresses and presents himself differently, has a different attitude, but there are things that can definitely make you tell that well. it's still him— but those who ask him about his weird lookalike with a similar that slaps people in the local subway system, immediately get their doubts soothed by Yoon-jae himself; he is a respectful man and isn't good at ddakji, he has no reason giving odd business cards with those childish shapes or slap civilians.
— Yoon-jae craves every form of attention that he can possibly get, both negative and positive: he genuinely doesn't seem to understand that people are bond to dislike him due to his arrogant and uncaring behavior, and always assumes that they're joking because, who could possibly, in their right mind, dislike him? He however values his reputation and has an "honor" (if you could call it that) meaning that whilst he cheats on his husband freely with other men, basically putting his own family at strain (since he and M/O have an adoptive daughter), he would completely ruin M/O's life if he ever found out he cheated on him. Any action took against him will be the start of his enemies worst nightmare.
** M/O cheats on him too and doesn't really care about what Yoon-jae does with their marriage, he does love him but neither is he willing to accomodate his impulsiveness and need to provoke a reaction out of him; he keeps his affairs hidden and with his underlings, so nobody really is willing to go against their second in command or have something to do with one of the evilest men around the facility.
— Yoon-jae is the biggest sadomasochist larper ever, he has gear and spends a fortune on what he calls a collection, but he actually thinks of whoever is into sexual violence in bed/wanting to be humiliated and hurt as pathetic. The only thing(s) he really is into is collars, lingerie and bunny suits, and that's because he finds M/O in them extremely attractive. He is a gay dominant bottom, generally doesn't enjoy topping because he likes to have someone behave like sexual servitude. He isn't even really attracted to most people he cheats with, he just wants the attention.
— He also oversees guards recruitment, and as much as In-ho trusts him as a coworker, he definitely doesn't see him as a friend; he knows how unpredictable Yoon-jae can be, and he quite frankly doesn't really enjoy his presence neither and only interacts over work matters.
— It is easy to understand when Yoon-jae has a friendly interest towards someone, usually showing care by giving fashion advice and visiting unprompted and often assuming stalker-ish behaviors, other than inviting his supposed friends to business meetings and art museums. Everything, in a way, revolves around him, and that is because he wants people to partake in his interests, and he leaves little to no room for others to express themselves. In one case, he took a particular liking to Valkyrie Marivela (OC) who is a lead manager just below the second in command, and managed to get someone to kidnap her abuser from the spanish military and forced them to play a variant of russian roulette making them point the gun at eachother with all the odds staked against the both of them. He still thinks that she liked it and is grateful.
