Night 542 (2.12.54)
The previous night was an eventful one in that I had gone to the hive of the tealblood Ethano. It’s been a good while since my last visit and I was fortunate enough to visit on what seemed to be a ‘good’ day. While I was there, I decided to use Hacton’s usual seat in the corner since he did not seem to be around at the time. Meeting a new tealblood was quite the experience, to say the least. Well, new to me but not new to the hive.
We spoke for a while, she seemed to be quite amusing for a time and I’d say we got along well enough. After a moment, we got to talking about Hacton which amused me quite a bit because, as it happens, the tealblood (Haidra was her name - for future reference) is Hacton’s kismesis. I didn’t think he actually had any quadrants but I suppose I should not be surprised. That navy does enjoy his secrets, undoubtedly.
The night grew to be even more interesting with the arrival of Hacton himself. The three of us talked for some more time before Haidra left and it was just Hacton and I. This was when I learned that Hacton did not really have much of a hive to stay in, thus I invited him to mine. It was a little amusing when he saw my lusus but, well, that isn’t any different than when anyone else sees her. Gods, I love my lusus.
More to come on Hacton’s living situation later, of course.
☂ Plunae and Glates
“I do not understand why you, of all people, wish to visit the circus.” The request for an outing between the two of them wasn’t very surprising, for she was sure Glates enjoyed going back and forth with her often. Plunae wasn’t very worried about visiting the circus either, clowns weren’t very threatening to her. She could handle clowns. If anything, she needed to be more wary of Glates herself than any indigos.
Hands in her pockets, the seadwellers approached the tents set up as they arrived. “Social experiment of some kind?”
