This is by far one of the darkest parts of Children of the Whales… I’ve gagged reading this.
You are telling me you destroyed a perfectly innocent child for a spontaneous spiritual belief?! And that you were surprised when the child didn’t remain gentle and forgiving?!
His disgustingly fanatical obsession reaches a morbid low. But however, he doesn’t seem to mind that he’s made a fallen God out of his chosen one. It makes me question whether what he wanted all along was an unspoiled saint or rather companionship in his Hell. Misery loves company…
