So instead of Blackie/Inky (depending on what translation you read), the official team decided to choose to name our dear kreke Sally.
Of course, I was a bit flabbergasted, but I still decided to look up the meaning of the word. And there’s nothing that resembled the monster or its color as far as I understood.
Sally also acts like an independent name or a pet name for Sarah (“princess” in Hebrew, which I’d gladly call our kreke, tbh. little princess...).
Btw, one of the commenters pondered if Sally actually comes from “salamander”. I personally find that sooooo adorable.
