Ahahah I just heard him mention that in his recent Q&A! Not sure about the dude Steve originally saw, but if I'm being honest, I think David and Sara's relationship is kind of sweet? I think there has to be more to her than meets the eye, judging by the appearance of Trap-n-Rot in Sals dreams and her condition on the night of the murders. She might have a soul or consciousness of some kind that David can sense and fell in love with, which explains the complexity of his interactions with her. Even if she's just an inanimate object that he projects on, David seems very happy with his relationship with her, which is what ultimately matters 😊💕
