Salmon Louse (Lepeophteirus salmonis)

...a species of parasitic Caligid copepod which will parasitize salmon and other related fish. Salmon "lice" will adhere themselves to the skin, fins, and gills of the fish they parasitize and from they they will feed on their mucus, skin, and blood. In recent years salmon "lice" have become problematic in fish farming facilities, weakening adult fish and sometimes killing juveniles.
