When I need something to boost me up, I head down to my favourite takeaway Sushi GoGo (争鲜gogo) outlet at Woodlands MRT Station. The price of this Salmon Platter (S$14) bento had gone up a little but this is the reality everyone is facing around the world – increasing food prices. The 15 pieces bento comes with an equal number of Salmon Roe Gunkan, Grilled Salmon Belly and Salmon Sushi. 🍣

The Aburi Mentai Salmon comes in 8 pieces and cost S$8.50. The salmon sushi 🍣 is topped with a mixture of mayonnaise and mentaiko which is salted and marinated cod roe. A blowtorch gently sear the fish 🐟 and mayo to caramelize it. The result, creamy and smoky sushi filled the mouth with rich and umami flavours.

When you see me eating sushi 🍣, it is usually means that mum asked me to settle my own dinner. I dropped in to my favourite takeaway Sushi GoGo (争鲜gogo) outlet at Woodlands MRT Station to select, pay and board the train home. Picked up the Salmon Platter (S$13.50) since it contained two of my favourite sushi in there. The 15 pieces bento comes with an equal number of Salmon Roe Gunkan, Grilled Salmon Belly and Salmon Sushi.

Picked up a box of Salmon Platter (S$13.50) from Sushi GoGo (争鲜gogo) on the way home for my dinner. The bento comes with five pieces each of Ikura Gunkan, Aburi Salmon Belly and Salmon Sushi. The first two items are my favourites. Love the popping marinated salmon roe and the oily flavour of the torched salmon belly with sushi sauce brushed over.

NOTE TO SELF: Order this again. You can tell them to hold the glaze because the salmon doesn’t need it. And good move subbing the tomato-cucumber salad for the rice.
