Sushi GoGo (争鲜gogo) had fired up their Rolling in Mala sushi promotion with three different bento sets. I picked up this 10pc Spicy Aburi Seafood Mix Bento (藤椒旗鱼) with some form of chilli paste or spicy sauce on it. Three pieces each of grilled salmon belly with a dollop of mala chilli paste on it and aburi salmon sushi 🍣 brushed with spicy mala 🌶️ sauce. There are also two torched scallops and swordfish sushi with the same spicy concoction.
For those who don’t like raw fish, get the Aburi Salmon Bento (S$6.50). The raw salmon 🐟 is torched to lightly cook it then brushed with sushi sauce and sprinkled with white sesame seeds. The flame imparted the semi-cooked fish with a little smokiness while the sushi sauce added a layer of savouriness.
