Product Review : Salon System Nail Lux Manicure Kit
This week’s review is all about the Salon System Nail Lux Manicure Kit. As a nail professional I love to experiment with new things and since being introduced to Salon System I’m now a huge fan of the cruelty free range! I’ve been putting the products to the test over the last couple of weeks and have to say they are another hit! This is a fantastic system for nail professionals and I absolutely adore the scents Salon System have incorporated which are full of fresh citrus notes.
The Refresh Hand & Foot Soak is perfect for uplifting senses and has a really gorgeous citrus scent. You only need about a 10p size amount diluted into your manicure soak so a little goes a long way :
The Renew Hand Scrub is perfect for invigorating hands AND feet. Little exfoliating kernels slough away dead skin and this makes a really welcome addition to any manicure soak.
It’s best to rub the exfoilater into the hands gently. I’d say this would be strong enough to use on feet as well but it isn't so strong that it can’t be used on hands. Ideal for those wanting a complete manicure experience. The smell is again really fresh and uplifting with citrus notes :
Erase Cuticle Remover + Condition Cuticle Cream
Perfect for softening cuticles the Erase Cuticle Remover worked a treat on my clients nails which had a lot of dead skin. I’m used to using the CND Cuticle Erase, but have tried a range of other cuticle removers and this does just what it says. I’d recommend it to fellow nail techs :
Hydrate Hand & Foot Lotion
Hydrate Hand & Foot Lotion was one of my favorite products in the kit. The smell is just divine (Lemon and Basil) and it’s packed full of Vitamine E to condition dry skin. I found this product was even okay for using on sensitive skins. It’s easily absorbed into the skin, but still allows enough play time for using as a hand massage cream. I’ll definitely be purchasing this when it runs out!
Nail Lux Do It All / Matte Base & Finish / Cuticle Oil
In this kit you also get a lovely trio of nail bottles including the Do It All Clear Polish, the Matte Base & Finish and Cuticle Oil. I’m particularly loving the Cuticle Oil which is great for clients who don’t love the smell of almond oil (those who love marsipan will favor CND Solar Oil, but for clients who don’t this is a really fantastic cuticle oil which still has the almond oil to hydrate and nouris cuticles, but instead of a sweet warm smell it’s got a really uplifting citrus scent.)
Along with all these fantastic products the kit also comes with a soak off bowl for extensions/acrylics as well as a set of black diamond files and a 3 way buffer which are all of great quality too :

All in all I’d give this Manicure Kit a 10/10 - I can’t fault anything about it. It’s affordable , professional, the products work and smell amazing. It’s noted that it would be fantastic for beginners, but as someone who’s been in the industry for awhile I’d say I would have no qualms introducing my regular clients to it. It’s professional in both appearance and quality. Another wonderful product from Salon System!
