In the emails that I send to myself, I'm almost always writing to Salonathon, an open mic night of sorts out here in Chicago. Sometimes I even step up, adjust the mic to my height and let a story tumble out

but most of the time writing as if it were to my room full of familiar strangers is enough Every Monday that I don't go to the show is a conscious decision. I like the Shea that goes to Salonathon better than the Shea that stays home, drinks a half a beer and falls asleep watching cutthroat kitchen.... but sometimes that's who I need to be

And Knowing that this is there is enough

So it's been weird wrapping my head around the idea that Salonathon is changing

and I'd be lying if I said I only had good feels about this

But I change is coming nonetheless

I trust you

and I'll never stop writing to you

Still though, I'm glad I have 4 months to process
