For the past year ALEXA GRÆ has been manifesting their revolutionary work SEEN. Their work taps into the very purpose of why I began doing doing production work. While I cannot dream of taking credit for the debut of work that has spanned ONE WHOLE YEAR I cannot be more proud to know that they have been the inaugural participant of the Chicago Queer Arts Mentorship Program (CQAMP). She makes me remember how good we can be. She makes me proud to call her friend. For those who know ALEXA GRÆ we understand that her talents are endless and his relentless pursuit of nothing but the best proves beyond a doubt that the standard has been raised, that to elevate your work in Chicago is possible, and that collaboration with passionate makers leads to something miraculous. TONIGHT is the night. I often find myself writing posts that say "YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS", but without a singular doubt if you find yourself in this space tonight you will leave knowing the POWER of this artist and how much more we can expect in the coming years. So come on down and celebrate a year of artistic labor. Honor the hustle. Honor your contribution as friends and fellow creators. Honor that this voice, this body, this energy that is ALEXA GRÆ is nothing less than the FUTURE! #ALEXAGRÆ #THEFUTUREISFEMALE (at Mana Contemporary Chicago)
