Salopian Polygraph There were no indicators on the bottle to describe this beer in any way so, with a 7.4% abv, I expected an IPA. How wrong I was: it's actually an imperial stout! But a fairly light and drinkable one, as imperial stouts go. The flavour is a rich, burnt coffee, which is also fairly pleasant. Alan: 3 out of 5 Rachelle: 5 out of 5

Salopian Midnight Express A surprisingly bitter stout. The underlying flavour is a rich, burnt coffee, but there's a heavy dose of fruity, resiny hops sitting on top. Interesting, and quite drinkable. Alan: 4 out of 5 Rachelle: 3 out of 5

Salopian Lemon Dream Unfortunately it's all downhill from here. I'd never had a wheat beer on cask, so I thought I'd give this a go. It's got the lightness you might expect, but not the effervescence, and for some reason they've dumped a load of funky hops in there. Alan: 2 out of 5 Rachelle: 3 out of 5
