I need star wars fans to get it through their heads that not every scrap of SW material in existence is compatible, and that literally NONE of the legends stuff happened as far as the story of the first 6 movies is concerned.
NONE OF THAT MATERIAL CAN BE USED IN A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE MESSAGE OF THE 6 MOVIES. SO STOP BRINGING IT INTO DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE 6 MOVIES.
That includes discussions of the groups and characters present in the movies and what conclusions we as an audience were intended to draw about them from the movies.
Have your fun with whatever extra material makes you happy, but it has NO PLACE in a discussion about the themes and messages in the movies.
