Christmas in the Northlund household had been more often for show than any actual festive fun. Father’s businessmen in and out of the house for parties while trying to make it seem like the family still upheld the traditional values. Oh, there was the typical things you’d find at Christmas. A tree decorated by people hired to do it, gifts that he knew his father had no hand in picking out and his mother in the kitchen attempting to make anything she felt was festive while trying to ignore his father and his ways.
But these were details that seemed to be missing from his mind this Christmas as he stared at the tall, full tree he purchased to surprise Echo with ( as well as Isaac ). By the tree were some ornaments he purchased from various places : online, thrift stores, farmer’s markets. Truth be told if it wasn’t for Echo he wouldn’t even be decorating a tree - because he hadn’t since his brother died. And their trees were often Charlie Brown Christmas Trees. So small and could barely hold anything other than a few candy-canes, a boot lace, and anything else stupid they could find. Sebastian knew it was time for new memories.
