The House actually isn't haunted apparently and I'm just being lied to about it! I swear I've seen all 3 ghosts in a single loop 3 times now! Granted those first 2 were without save scumming so I might've had a head empty moment during those in which I continued through the 2nd floor without seeing its ghost. But after that happened twice, I decided to save scum to get the 3rd ghost. And upon it finally spawning, I still didn't get the event or the achievement. Do I have to start the loop in Dormont? Or maybe looping to the end of the 1st floor and 'backtracking' to the ghost hall isn't allowed? Do I have to do the entire 3rd floor every time instead of clearing it and backtracking to the save point before entering the ghost hall to save scum with the floor cleared? Is save scumming in general no longer permitted? I've googled it up and apparently one other person had this issue, they solved it by talking to Loop about the ghost quest, I've done that multiple times. Do I have to call them up to repeat that convo every time I see a ghost? What am I doing wrong?

Maybe this a hot take but after watching the new clip from the Game Awards, I feel the animation is expressive enough that they could've made Mario non-verbal or only semi-verbal (like he is in the games) and have it work perfectly fine even for a movie. (Not to say having such a protagonist is bad for a movie in anyway, just that I think it'd be harder to write for in a movie, especially one meant to be accessible to children and thus are gonna have a harder time picking up on subtle things, as opposed to in a video game.) And honestly, I think that would've been really cool. Too bad though, they just had to have Chris Pratt. :/

TF2's bot problem makes Tumblr's pornbot problem look almost like an non-issue. They're the reason I quit playing for a while. But then I came back and I'm loving it again but... the bots. Like, sometimes there'll be more than one on a team and depending on how many other players are present, they can't be voted off because there's not enough there to vote 'yes'. It's so obnoxious.

And like, I know it can't be an easy thing to fix, otherwise they'd have done so by now, right? But I really wish they would do more. Like they don't even need to do a proper update (though, that'd be super nice too) just fix the dang bot problem and that would be stellar. Surely the game is still popular enough (and thus pulling in enough revenue) to be worth the effort, right? Why has Valve just been letting this be a thing for so long now? >:(

I gotta vent about that streamer I'm watching play Hollow Knight again. The 'helper' is at it again, even worse than before! They told the streamer that overcharming makes you deal double damage. And they believed them! I even googled it to double check and they're wrong and I said so in chat but the streamer is going with their strategy anyway! And the streamer is doing Pantheon 4 and struggling mostly with Pure Vessel so it's hurting them far more than it's helping. I'm so salty!

Video game devs not include an annoying, unnecessary fishing mini-game, challenge level: apparently impossible!

What does fishing add to a game about killing monsters with swords and a magic book? I get game play loop stuff, don't want to be doing the same thing endlessly, gotta break up the combat with other stuff sometimes, change the pace a little. But we have story and town stuff for that! A shitty fishing mini-game with quests tied to it is just obnoxious. It's particularly obnoxious because I like to do all the quests in games that have them, checking all them off the list feels good. But I can't do that because I don't want to spend hours and hours of my life trying to get this bad finicky fishing mini-game to work for me, I refuse. (I gave it my very best shot, even looked up tips for it and tried again but it's just awful and I give up.) Meaning those quests are going to set in my quest log, haunting me the whole time.

I'm talking about Nier: Replicant by the way. Which I am otherwise mostly enjoying. There are a couple other things I'm not liking so far but the fishing really takes the cake on that. It sucks so much.

Like seriously the only games I've played that have been made better by the inclusion of fishing are Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Other chill games would probably also be served by fishing but I just don't see the point of putting it in so many other types of games, especially action games. (The fishing in Ultrakill is also chill and fun and serves to make the game better but that's a special unique case.)

ASS is the perfect way to describe P-ranking God Damn the Sun. I did everything fucking right except I fumbled with the rocket freeze when trying to ride into the left side of the building and I missed with the hookshot a few times when getting one of the skulls onto its pedestal. This shit is actually more difficult than Minos Prime. I really, really hope that this level in particular is just a pain in the ass (pun intended) and not indicative of what P-ranking levels is gonna be like from here on out.

I have finally beat it but I have found the strongest contender for the most annoying ass level to P-rank. The god damn thin as fuck walkways during the first part that you gotta fight on and somehow dodge a bunch of shit on without falling off to Respawn right in the path of more shit. And then the annoying as fuck street cleaner that's invincible if you fail to make the Maurice land on it, making that room a massive pain in the ass. And then the Ferryman right at the end that sometimes takes just a few seconds too long to kill. Or if you get to him with a not very clean time, you gotta rush and then he kills you for it when he's one or two hits away. So god damn annoying. I am glad I have finally beat this damn level.

I imagine the rest of the levels (except maybe Leviathan) are going to be quite hard to P-rank too, especially the last two. But I do not think they will be as annoying as this level was because this level wasn't annoying because it was hard but because of the damn annoying nonsense complained about in the prior paragraph.

Am I the only one who despises the snails in Rain World? Like, why do I never see anyone else complaining about them? They are the single most annoying thing in the game. More annoying than going through a pipe and straight into the jaws of a lizard or whatever because at least that doesn't happen very often. Whereas every single time you go past a snail, you lose everything in your hands and sometimes they knock you and/or the baby you're trying to keep alive straight into death.

And why are they called snails? There's nothing snail like about them. I pretty much exclusively call them poppers because they tarnish the glorious name of snails.
