It was the thought that counts, right? Or so the saying goes. Connor just thought that it was an acceptable offering to give to Alice and hoping that this would ( ——sort of ) mend something that was broken between them.
Of course, that may not happen and Alice could continue to feel uneasy when he was around. He can’t blame her. Connor was or used to be that famous deviant hunter who hunted deviants so they would be brought back to Cyberlife to be examined and then soon scrapped apart. And one of those deviants were Kara, an AX400 model who had a human girl with her, aka Alice. So Alice had every single reason to hate or even to feel uneasy around him and Connor won’t blame her for feeling that at all. It makes him feel bad inside -- a feeling that tends to come around now and again in his system.
“...It’s not a problem. I just hope that you can eventually forgive me. I’ve made an irrational decision by jumping over that fence and chasing you two in that dangerous highway. It was very stupid of me and very harmful for all three of us. I’m not that person anymore and I understand very much if you choose never to forgive me. Just know that I will never harm you nor Kara ever again nor that I have the intention of taking you two back to the DPD. That’s all in the past now.”
