No one's on stage yet, so I've been reading articles on my phone after making eye contact with the same stranger one too many times. A man sitting alone at a table near mine got my attention and said, "You know, I watch how people hold their phones and you hold yours like it's the Bible." I laughed. "It wasn't meant to be funny." I rolled my eyes and thought about pulling up my Bible app but thought better of it. Then he got the food he ordered and started minding his own goddamn business. Is this why people (especially women) don't go out alone? If I were with someone else he wouldn't have said anything. But I'm a girl sitting alone reading articles on her phone so I'm fair game? Ok.
