"Lois Lane, Girl Reporter" was a fantastic showcase for Lois. Running in Superman for a couple of years in the mid-1940s, the feature had Lois defeating bad guys and getting front page stories on her own, without any help from Superman. In this adventure, Lois took on a counterfeiting gang and defeated them handily with the help of a blow torch, lighting their butts on fire until they gave up and getting a great scoop out of it all.
