Helllooo sooo I came across one of your posts where you were saying that you need Sam centric fics and you love that and I am like really new in fandom stuff so I wanted to ask that what comprises Sam centric fics. Like is it those fics which are from Sam's pov or those fics where there is no mention of Dean at all? Does those count is where is Sam is going through stuff throughout the whole fic but in the end Dean comforts him? I really want to know your opinion😭

Firstly, welcome to fandom! Hope you have a lot of fun with like minded blogs you can share similar ideas with.. and discover all the amazing fics and arts and opinions that people post.
Honestly, all of those can mean Sam centric fics. But in my case, I love fics that revolve around Sam. Not only when the entire plot is built around him but also when we get his POV. Sam is so complex and it's always fascinating to get a dive into his psyche. I think for me, Dean is a welcomed character as long as the narration still remains Sam focused. I don't know if you have read any of the Supernatural books (probably not, given that you are fairly new) but Coyote's Kiss by Christa Faust is written completely from Dean's POV and that's not something I am very keen on. Dean POV that doesn't focus on Sam feels flat to me. Having said that, I don't mean completely do away with Dean. He acts as a good grounding anchor to Sam and of course the comfort after he has gone through all the pain and torture always has a soothing impact on me. In summary, my Sam centric fics checklist looks this:
Heavy on Sam's POV or narrative
Plot focuses on Sam
Heavy on Sam's screen (or is it read?) time (I don't mind Dean or Bobby in background)
Sam put through all bad things and Dean comforting
Sam's psyche exploration
Sam's inner conflict exploration
Sam's history exploration (his life at Stanford, his and Jessica's relationship, teen Sam especially those all lonely nights in motel when Dean and John are away on a hunt)
Exploration of Sam's relationship with other characters like Sam and John, Sam and Mary, Sam and Charlie, Sam and Rowena, Sam and Ash etc
