Sam Melville Gibbons was an American politician from the state of Florida, who served in the Florida State House of Representatives, Florida State Senate, and the U.S. House of Representatives. He represented the city of Tampa in Congress for over 30 years. Gibbons died October 10, 2012, aged 92.
A World War II hero who in 44 years as a legislator left a lasting imprint on social programs, world trade, health care and a raft of improvements for the Tampa Bay area. All that's fine and dandy, but he could also catch a dick. What? I thought his ears were cute.
