I'm a bit struggling right now. Because I am a server and I love my job and I enjoy talking with my guests. And normally I can handle my drunk guests as well but we had this old guy with his two sons there on Saturday. When it was time for them to go in the evening we were having a little bit of small talk and this old guy got really really close and got really touchy and I don't know how to handle something like that. There also wasn't a colleague near by so I just kept being nice and tried to ignore it til they were out the door.

Why do bad experiences sometimes weigh so much more than good ones.

Soo i work only two days a week, Friday and Saturday. Which is great.

Anyways this Friday almost all guests were gone and I was polishing our glasses when this one costumer that the whole time had this big smile on when I went to her table waved me to her.

She then asked how long I've been doing this and told me how great her experience with me was, how cute I am and how comfortable she felt with me.

Honestly that was nice to hear. Because I'm still a shy person and unsure when I am explaining the food and afraid to say something wrong.

And Saturday we had 3 people with two really exhausting women. It got really hard staying nice for me and my colleagues. At one point I refilled her water and she stopped me before I could go and told me how nice I was with such a genuine smile.

Idk but these moments really brightened my shifts this weekend.
