The autistic craving to crawl into the universe of your current obsession. I NEED to be able to exist in Bullworth and see for myself what life there is like, give me my own slice of life storyline idc I NEED IT
Maybe it’s time for my Bully OC to make a comeback…
There’s something in the water that makes me love you like I do~ I wasn’t going to post this but Erin and Sam wanted me to so here ya go 😪 Another squad pic of @bullworthpunk @bullybitchedition and Dorian 🤠
I had predicted he’d be back thanks to a photo Kurtwood Smith posted about a year ago with Sam Elliot and Barry Corbin and this confirms it!
So happy that his character Sam Peterson hasn’t been killed off, off screen and we get to see him make a return to Garrison. It’ll be interesting to see his reaction to what Colt has done to the ranch and land he once owned as well as the fire that destroyed it in previous seasons.
I’ve said it before I’ve kinda hoped that Sam would stick around Colt’s place a little longer than what would be expected, since he did make the request of living out his last days on his land but we’ll see what the season has in store.
This is the second to last part of the series so I’m curious to see what they have planned for this upcoming part.
Debra Jo Rupp’s character has definitely become more of a recurring character on the series so I’m definitely hopeful that she’ll appear in this part too. Also she retweeted the preview Ashton Kutcher posted on Twitter last week.
And even though we know Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith have been cast to play a married couple in a new series ( 💛! ) You can bet that I’m still hoping to see them share a scene on The Ranch!
Part 7 of The Ranch Releases September 13th on Netflix
BIG NEWS: New episodes of The Ranch will be out on December 7th!! I’ll share my predictions/hopes soon but for now I’m just excited about the new eps AND hoping we get even the mini-est of mini reunions between Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith.
Guys, ya look so cute!” Sam said, eyes wide with glee. He ignored the sighs of annoyance from his two friends, who had started to get second thoughts about Sam’s plan.
“Ay, baby, I hate this!” Dorian complained. “Do we really have to do this?”
“Yeah, Sam, I’m also not really sure about this,” Erin chimed in.
“Ah, guys, come on! Ya promised me,” Sam said sternly. “I’m a sentimental piece o’ crap, ya know this.”
“I know, but we can do this without the Christmas sweaters as well, right?”
Sam huffed in annoyance, crossing his arms. “It won’t be the same, but fine. Lemme go change then.” He left the living room, going upstairs to find another outfit.
“Great, look what you’ve done now? Now he’s upset!” Dorian said to Erin.
“Excuse me? You were the one that started the complaining. I only agreed with you.”
“Yeah, but they’re so ugly!” Dorian defended himself. Then he thought for a minute. Sam never asked for much, and he had seemed very excited about this idea. He just wanted to make memories. “I guess we can put up with them for a little longer… It makes him happy!” he added upon seeing Erin groan.
“You’re such a suck-up, Dorian,” Erin chuckled.
“Whatever,” Dorian rolled his eyes, then called upstairs. “Baby, we’ve changed our minds! You can come down!”
Sam made his way downstairs and saw his boyfriend and friend still wearing their sweaters. His face broke into the widest and happiest smile his friends had ever seen him have. “Thanks, guys, this means a lot to me,” he said, pecking Dorian on the lips and hugging them both. “Now, get in formation!”
They stood in front of the Christmas tree in Sam’s living room. “If I give the sign, y’all need to say somethin’ cheesy, ‘kay? Go!”
They took the picture. It actually didn’t look half bad. They seemed to be genuinely happy in each other’s company, wearing hideous Christmas sweaters.
“This’ll look great on a calendar. Guys, I think I have another idea!” Sam said, a devilish grin on his face.
“God, please no…” Dorian and Erin groaned in unison.
So, Halloween is almost over here, but I was just thinking of what Sam would wear this Halloween.
I feel like he’d dress like a historical figure, to match his “nerdy” interest in history. But he wouldn’t wanna go too nerdy, he don’t feel like being made fun of. So, my guess is he’d dress like Jack the Ripper. That’s a historical figure, yet it also matches his rather dark interests.
He’d wear a top hat and a suit, cover his face with a burlap sack and carry a big, fake knife when he goes around pranking other students. I think he’d drop the sack when he goes to the party because it’s a bit more comfortable lmao
The newest part of The Ranch is releasing late tonight/tomorrow and we know that Debra Jo Rupp will be returning because she appears in the background of a scene in the trailer and I’m pretty sure that Kurtwood Smith could be back too with this photo he posted a few months back. Now the real question is if they will have any screen time together, I’m definitely hoping so!
Before Kurtwood Smith’s appearance took place I thought up this idea of how they could reunite the two and here is a new take on how they can get their characters Janice and Sam in a scene together and more importantly get Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp on screen together.
Quick little reminder: Debra Jo Rupp plays Janice Philips and Kurtwood Smith plays Sam Peterson.
Enjoy!

Sam Peterson was sitting in the leather armchair in the living room that Col Bennett had rebuilt after the wildfires had destroyed the place a year ago. He was glad to have been out of the country that month, though he’d sold the ranch to the Bennett Brothers it would have killed him to see the home that he and Estelle had built go up in smokes until there was nothing but ash.
Colt had done a fine job in refurnishing the property and home. Some of it reminded him of his former home while much of it didn’t; but that was okay. This house hadn’t been built for Sam, he’d had his chance to turn his house into a home for his family, now it was Colt’s turn to make this into the perfect home for his wife and his newborn little girl who Sam currently held in his arms.
The infants parents were in the next room getting refreshments, and if Sam remembered early days of parenthood correctly, relishing in the few moments of baby-free peace.
Sam didn’t mind too much, holding the newest member of the Bennett family he felt sort of nostalgic feeling was over him that he quickly blamed on the cancer. He was glad Colt and Abby were blessed with a daughter, made it less likely that she’d carry the dumbass gene some of her male relatives carried.
The front door of the house burst open, startling Sam as he looked over to see a couple stomping their way inside. The woman was clearly upset and based on how far ahead she walked in front of the man despite him trying to catch up to her, it was clear that he was the reason behind her irritation.
“Don’t talk to me Chuck, I can’t even look at you let alone stand the sound of your voice,” the blonde woman held up a hand in front of her though she never turned to face the man. “I am so upset, I just want to hold the baby and get some space away from you.”
Chuck sighed, “Janice.”
“You,” the woman apparently named Janice, ignored Chuck and zeroed in on Sam pointing a finger in his direction. “I don’t know who you are or what you’re doing here but if you know what’s good for you, you’ll hand over that baby this instant.”
Sam chuckled at her assertiveness but did what as he was told, carefully passing the baby into her arms.
“Well now,” he began to say, her anger already seemed to lessen now that the baby was in her embrace. “You must be this little rugrats aunt, huh?”
Janice looked up and him, appearing surprised with a slight pink in her cheeks. “Well you are just the sweetest man alive.”
“Been a while since someone’s called me that,” smirked Sam, shoving his hands in his pockets.
“I’m standing right here,” Chuck, feeling like the odd man out, felt the need to remind.
“I know,” Janice curtly replied then smiled up at Sam again. “Actually, I’m the baby’s grandmother.”
“Grandmother? Naw, I don’t believe it,” Sam said. “I had you pegged for Abby’s younger sister.”
Again Janice seemed to blush. “Oh, stop.”
“I’ve got another shocker for you,” Chuck was now the one looking quite unhappy. “She’s also my wife.”
Sam looked over at Chuck. “So you’re the kid’s grandfather?”
“That’s right,” answered Chuck puffing up his chest with that new grandfather pride.
“Hell, I don’t believe that either!” Sam declared.
Chuck wasn’t expecting that compliment in his direction. “Well, thank you…”
“Now great-grandfather,” continued Sam, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. “I’d buy that.”
Chuck was too stunned to say or do anything and his shock only grew when Janice suddenly burst out laughing in this loud sort of nasal, very hearty kind of laugh that he hadn’t even known she’d been capable of making.
“Oh my, excuse me,” she said bashfully placing her hand close to her mouth. “I don’t know where that laugh came from.”
“I liked it,” Sam admitted shrugging his shoulders.
Janice gave another giggle and that was about all that Chuck could take, He march out of the room in search of Abby and Colt, who he soon found in the kitchen.
“Alright, which one of you invited Ranchhand Casanova out there,” he demanded to know, flicking his thumb over his shoulder.
Colt and Abby exchanged looks.
“Oh, if you mean Sam I…” began Colt.
“He’s practically hitting on my wife out there.”
“I think Abby invited him,” Colt finished his sentence, changing his ending because he didn’t want to face the wrath of Mr. Philips. “Yeah, it was definitely Abby.”
So there you go! Just a little moment I’d love to see on screen with Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, a few subtle Red and Kitty references thrown in and if a scene like that was in show we could imagine it’s Red and Kitty with their grandbaby!
If you read this all the way through thank you! Thank you for listening to my ramblings and daydreams :D Are you watching The Ranch? How would you like to see Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith (or any of the other actors) reunited on the show?
