Saluna week Day 4: Picnic Date

Looking at her watch Sam wonders what is keeping Luna she should have been here ten minutes ago. Did she get lost? No she know this spot, this is the spot where they had their first kiss. Did she forget? Wait not she had texted Sam an hour ago to not worry about the food because she'd bring it. Was traffic holding keeping Luna from being here? That was possible but wouldn't she have texted her?
Sam was starting to worry. They haven't been able to go on many dates lately because school has been shoving test at them non-stop and Luna has be working really hard to write some songs. So this being their first date in a while Sam was super hyped for it but Luna being late was making her worry.
"Sam!" Suddenly hearing her name snaped Sam out of her thoughts and looks up to see Luna jogging towards with a picnic basket in hand and her guitar on her back.
Sam stood up and hugged Luna when she got close, " I was starting to worry dude. What kept you?"
Luna sighed, "Sorry Sam small sibling dispute, and I completely blanked on texting you to tell you I'd be late. Sorry dude."
Sam smiled and gently rubbed Luna's back, "It's ok luv. I understand."
Luna gave Sam a small smile and set the basket and her guitar down. To the proceed to flop down on to the blanket and pat the spot next to her offering it to Sam.
Sam giggled and sat down by Luna's head and patted her lap as to offer it as a pillow to Luna. Luna adjusted herself so her head was in her girlfriend's lap and smiled you at her. Sam smiled down and ran her fingers through Luna's short hair. Luna closed her eyes and hummed in contentment in response.
"So what has my wonderful and beautiful girlfriend brought for use to eat today?", Sam asked.
"Well you see," Luna said as she reached for the basket only to find it out of reach causeing her to groan and Sam to laugh. "I'd show you if it wasn't sooooooo far away and if I wasn't so comfortable."
Sam leans over to grab the dastard basket with out disturbing her girlfriend who seems to be half was to a land of dreams, "there problem solved. I got the basket and you get to stay comfortable", Sam said. 'And I still get to see your peaceful face', she thought.
"Rockin' dude", Luna smiled, " So if you were to open it you'd see that I have made us some wonderful sandwiches, that I made with love for us luv."
Opening the basket comfired what Luna had said there seemed to be about four or six sandwiches but also a few sodas and four water bottles. Taking a sandwich Sam inspected seeing that it is just a plain ham and cheese sandwich. She smiled and takes a bite of the sandwich and looks down at Luna who is smiling at her. Sam offiers her a bite of the sandwich she has. Luna sits up taking a bite. Sam immediately misses the warms from Luna's head on her lap but doesn't say anything about it.
Nodding to Luna's guitar Sam said, "were you planning for us to jam? Had I know that was also part of the plan I would have brought mine too."
Luna shoke her head, "No dude I've been working on a song to serenade to you. I finally got it and we're here together and I couldn't think of a better time."
Sam blushed. Sure Luna has sung to her before and wrote her a song but never really serenaded her. Smiling Luna grabbed her guitar and started to strum it. Humming a few notes before sing.
After Luna was done with her song she look up at Sam smiling before a look of panic made its way on to her face."Was it really that bad? I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry", Luna said in a panic and fast voice.
Sam shook her head, " No no no it's not that it's was really beautiful. It just was so good it moved me to happy tears." Sam kissed Luna lightly on the lips, " Thank you Luna that was really beautiful"
For the reminder of their date they ate the sandwich and each had a soda, cuddling and jamming a little. But the day couldn't late for ever no matter how much they wanted it to and soon it came to an end. Luna grabbed the now empty basket amd her guitar and Sam folded up the blanket she had brought.
They walked down to their rides hand in hand. Smiling Sam asked, "See you at school tomorrow?"
Luna kissed her on the cheek, "Wouldn't even dream of not being there luv."
Saying their good byes Luna and Sam go in there respective rides and went home waiting for the rest of today to end so they could see each other again tomorrow.

I have changed my mind. This is now my favorite work.
I didn't know how this was gonna go or how it was gonna turn out. I almost didn't do a thing for today but now I'm happy I did seeing how this turned out.
Again I'm sorry for this coming out at almost the end of the day but I had school and work again. I even had to stay a little later at work to so I'm almost dead on my feet.
But yeah leave a comment if you think I should have done something different or if you just wanna say something.
