PS i tried to tag some people and it wouldn’t let me??? Some body help a girl out???? whys that???
“It was a few years ago, i was stuck in the cage again. And after what happened last time, y/n, she took my spot with him” Sam started to sob “In there”
“Oh Sammy, I'm sorry you have that weight on your shoulders”
Sam lifted his head up “W-what?”
“I'm sorry, she put you through that”
His brows furrowed “She didn’t put me through anything, she saved me”
“Well, im sorry thats the only way you see that situation” Standing up, Mary made her way towards the door
“Where are you going?”
“Clearly i'm not welcomed here, I just keep butting heads with you and Dean. You guys aren’t my little boys anymore”
“You keep butting heads with us because you have a problem with y/n, you know nothing about what we’ve gone through all these years, of course we're not your little boys anymore, but we're still your kids”
“She’s not my kid”
++
“y/n, y/n, y/n”
Your eyes remained shut you couldn’t see anything but you could feel everything.
“I'm going to bring you back”
His voice was getting louder, and what scared you was it wasn’t Sam or Dean’s voice.
“You know you were my favourite toy, but shhh don’t tell your brothers they might get jealous”
Everything felt scattered, your thoughts were moving a mile a minute.
“Open your eyes y/n, you’re home”
Shaking your head, you brought your knees to your chest, baking up further in the corner.
“Oh, y/n when will you realise, you will be back. Just your choice if you want to be brought back in one piece or in pieces”
++
You felt like you were on fire, but you couldn’t scream. You body was aching, but you felt yourself relax when you couldn’t hear his voice anymore instead you could hear Dean’s.
“y/n”
You peeled your eyes open, moving your head to look over at Dean “Dee”
His eyes shot open they were bloodshot, and puffy. You couldn’t help but feeling guilty again for what you were putting them through, you were nothing but trouble for them.
“He has me” You sobbed out
“Oh sweetheart, you're safe, i won't let anything happen to you, I promise.”
Pushing yourself up you had no idea what came over you, you wanted out of this room scared that at any second the walls would start caving in and you would be sucked back down there with Lucifer “You can’t keep protecting me Dean”
Dean grabbed your arm trying to push you back down as lightly as he could, his voice soft “Hey you need to lay down and get some rest”
Your body was throbbing in pain, but you pushed through it, lifting your legs you swung them over the edge “I can’t Dean” You were exhausted, but you needed to do research, you need to figure out if this could be prevented or if this was your destiny because if it was then you weren’t going to put your brothers through a fight that wasn’t worth fighting.
++
You were in seated in the back seat of the impala, in your usual spot. You eyes couldn’t help but keep glances towards Dean. His jaw clenched, he was trying to keep a hard exterior on, but you could see it in his eyes, the pain. His knuckles going white from gripping the steering wheel to hard.
“There’s a motel just off this turn” Sam pointed to the left, breaking the silence. His voice small, trying not to say the wrong thing and push Dean over the edge. Dean grunted, nodding before making a sharp turn last minute causing you to bash your head against the window.
Sam’s head whipped around as Dean pulled into a parking spot “Are you okay!?”
Lifting your hand to your head, you could feel blood “Yeah, Sammy i'm okay” You gave him a small smile.
Dean was already out of the car, slamming his door shut you winced at the loud sound, “Come on, ill check your head out in the room”
You nodded in response, truth was your head hurt like a bitch, you didn’t tell the boys how hard you really hit your head back at the warehouse trying to save Ben. Has Sam got out, you stayed a few seconds longer trying to compose yourself “You’re not going to cry” You mumbled before stepping out, just in time to see Dean coming back from the office with the room key.
“One room, two doubles. You're on the couch” Dean stated, gesturing to you. Nodding you grabbed your bags from the trunk.
Making your way into the room, Sam already had the first aid kit out. “Come” he turned to you, patting the small counter, you slid on. Wincing as Sam moved your hair out of the cut. Your eyes moved to glance at Dean a blank stare on his face. You couldn’t imagine what he was going through, after what happened tonight you weren’t sure just how long he was going to hold this with him, he would try to brush it off in a few days but he would take it out on a hunt being reckless, or he would drink himself into a coma.
You never had anyone but the boys, while at some point or another they had separate, normal lives without you, you could feel a burning in the pit of your stomach even just trying to imagine what it felt like having the memories of the only woman you ever loved erased.
Your train of thought was gone has you felt a burning pain in your head “Ow! What the hell Sammy”
“Sorry” He mumbled “This cuts really deep, did you hit your head early?”
You nodded, “why didn’t you say anything? You could have a concussion!” He scolded you.
“Because i'm fine Sam, just drop it” Sighing he nodded his head “Fine but don’t get mad at me if i watch you like a hawk”
Rolling your eyes, you jumped down “Yes Mom”
He let out a small laugh, making his way to the washroom. Leaving Dean and you in a awkward silence. Biting your nails, a habit you encountered over the years. Sighing you're made your way to the edge of the bed, sitting beside Dean. You opened your mouth to speak but nothing ever coming out, you didn’t know what to say.
“Y/n”
Your lifted your head so fast, the throbbing pain in it coming back but you pushed through it when you seen the tears streaming down Dean’s face ‘Yes Dee?”
“Promise you won’t ever leave me? I don’t think i could handle it if you left to”
“I promise”
++
“Please y/n, do this for me” You could see the pain in his pleading eyes, you knew how much Dean loved you. But you were doing this for them,
“Dean” You breathed out “I can’t just stay here all day”
He sighed “I know, but Cas said you needed rest”
“Dean, I can’t”
“Why not? Please y/n don’t be stubborn like me, I know you’re tired, i'm tired just from looking at you, you looked like crap” He let out a small chuckle trying to lighten the mood.
You gave him a small smile “It’s not that Dee…”
His face laced with concern “Then what is it?”
“I'm scared Dean” You sobbed out, bringing your hands to cover your face. You could feel the weight on your bed shift, Dean took your hands aways from you face as gentle as he could scared at any second you would crumble into dust in his hands.
“Look at me y/n/n” His voice soft making eye contact with him, he continued “You have nothing to be afraid of. Sammy and I, hell even Cass, we have your back, as long as you're with one of us, i promise with everything in me, you’re going to be okay.”
“You can’t protect me from this, he..”
Cutting you off “Like hell i can’t”
“Dean, you can’t. Whenever I close my eyes he's gonna be there, and i’ll back in the cage”
His eyes softened “Will figure it out, Okay?”
“Okay”
“Now, ill let you leave your room under one condition”
You giggled, “Dean im 30, im not a baby anymore”
He scoffed “As long as i'm alive, you might as well be a baby”
“Yeah, yeah. So whats this condition?”
++
Finally making your way towards the library, You promised Dean that you would eat whatever Sam ate, so that meant no more bacon, no more burgers, no more burgers with bacon on it. Dean had his arm wrapped around you, helping you towards the library, he insisted on giving you a piggy back, but your arms hurt too much to hold onto him, so this was the alternative. Making your way around the corner, stopping at the blood stain on the floor, you shuttered, bring your arms to hug yourself.
Dean noticed your change in mood, your exterior stiffening, “Y/n?” He questioned, but his eyes followed yours, tightening his grip on you, he rubbed his thumb in circles on your upper arm, pulling you close to his side.
The library coming into view, your face lighting up when you seen Sam, his back turned towards you, Mary’s eyes shifted from looking at Sam, towards Dean and you. Sam turned around when he noticed her eyes were no longer on him.
Making his way towards you, he pulled you into one of his famous hugs “I'm glad you’re okay y/n”
“As long as I have you two by my side, I'll always be okay”
Dean gave you a little shove “That's the spirit”
Mary walked towards you three, her eyes never landing on you, “Sam? I need your answer”
You could see Sam’s change in composure, Dean noticed it to. Becoming wary, you could feel the air get heavy, your heart started to speed up.
“Whats going on?” Dean pushed, looking between his Mother and little brother.
“I asked him to chose”
“Chose what?”
He gave you the same look he gave you when he left you when Dean was in hell, and in purgatory. “Sammy?” You questioned, but you already knew what she meant, a tear falling down your cheek.
“I’m sorry y/n” Sam spoke, his voice just below a whisper
You look towards Dean answering his question “to chose between me and her”
Dean’s face harden, his jaw clenched, his fist balling up before he brought it up, putting all his weight into it as it collided with his little brothers face.

You smirked as you watched the black ball disappear into the pocket straight ahead. The drunken man threw the stick he was using onto the table, followed by a string of curses.
“You hustled me!” he yelled, approaching you with balled fists. You stood upright and raised your eyebrows.
“I believe you owe me some cash,” you said, holding out one hand and using the other to push onto the man’s chest, preventing him from coming any closer. He shoved your open hand away.
“You little –!”
“Whoa whoa whoa, take it easy there, big guy,” you patted his chest. “Don’t worry about it, I’ll just go.”
You brushed past him, the smirk never leaving your lips as you walked a reasonable distance away from the drunk.
“Oh yeah,” you called out, turning around to face him again. “This was mine, right?” You waved the wad of cash in the air, taking a few steps back. You watched him go wide-eyed and pat down his pockets. You bolted before he could make a move. A crash of chairs and indistinct shouting followed close behind as you skidded to a stop at the bar.
“We gotta go! Let’s go, now!” you yelled quickly, yanking the two cargo jackets away from their drinks. You weaved your way through a small crowd of concerned people, shoving the door open.
“Y/N, what the hell was that?” Sam asked. You slowed to a halt, knowing you were no longer in immediate danger with your brothers there. Jumping in the impala, you gestured for them to follow. Dean peeled out of the parking lot without a word, letting you catch your breath.
“Pull over at that diner over there,” you pointed, still breathing heavily. Dean obliged and you hopped out of the car, giddy with excitement. You held up the cash, “I’m up 200 big ones, dinner’s on me tonight.”
Dean’s smile and Sam’s eyes went wide.
“I should have known,” Sam sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Dean elbowed him and walked over to you, slinging an arm around your shoulders.
“Oh come on, Sammy! Our baby sister had her first successful hustle!” Dean shook you lightly, causing you to grin at his joy.
“Dean!” Sam scolded, throwing his hands in the air.
“I don’t know about you, but this calls for a celebration. Y/N/N, I’m gonna take you up on that offer,” Dean said, looking down at you with pride. You walked with him into the diner and found a booth. As much as Sam disapproved, he couldn’t help but follow.
“Milkshakes all around, my good sir,” you said to the waiter in a fake accent, who looked at you with annoyance; it was nearly 2 in the morning and he probably just wanted to go home. Dean ordered the both of you bacon cheeseburgers, Sam had declined.
“To Y/N,” Dean said, raising his nearly empty milkshake in the air. “My baby sister’s all grown up.”
Dean wiped a fake tear from his eye as you all clinked glasses.
“I learned from the best,” you said to Dean, giving him a light nudge. You ordered a whole apple pie, which was devoured in a few minutes by all three of you. You left a couple twenties on the table before heading out.
“Now where the hell do you think you’re going?” a familiar voice called out from the dimly lit parking lot of the diner.
“About to head home and count my big ’ole wad of cash here, what about you?” you sassed, standing tall between your brothers.
“Why don’t you get on outta here, pal, before I make you,” Dean said gruffly, folding his arms.
“Oh yeah?” the drunk said, taking a step towards you.
“Yeah,” Sam answered as he stood in between, looking down at the man who stood a good several inches below him. The man turned away with a huff. You grinned and went to open the back door of the impala when Dean tossed you the keys.
“Only on really special occasions,” he said with a wink, opening the passenger door and sliding in. You bounced up and down for a second before jogging around to the driver’s side.
“Best hustle ever,” you whispered to yourself as you tucked your money back into your pocket and turned the volume on the radio up, blaring your favorite song.

“Theresa Ellis, apartment 2F. Her boyfriend reported her missing around dawn.” Dean said walking into the livingroom where Sam, Jo, and Dakota were spread out on the floor looking through the information Jo had collected, again.
“How was her apartment?” Jo asked.
“Cracks all in the plaster-ceilings, walls, all of it.” Dean answered.
“Between that, the ectoplasm, and chunk of hair, I’d say the sucker’s coming from the walls.” Dakota said.
“Yeah, but who is it? The building’s history is totally clean.” Dean said.
“Maybe we’re looking in the wrong place.” Jo guessed. “Check this out.” She said handing them a photo.
“It’s the field where the building was built.” Dakota pointed out.
“Take a look at the one next door.” She smirked.
Sam leaned in closer to the paper, “Bars on the windows.”
“We’re next door to a prison?” Dean asked.
……….
Jo stepped out of the room to call Ash and get some information, leaving the three Winchesters to flip through the papers. Jo came back into the room a few minutes later with a spring in her step.
“Moyamensing Prison. Built in 1835, torn down in 1963.” Jo explained.
“Let me guess, 1835, executions in the field?” Dakota guessed.
“Hangings.” Jo confirmed.
“Alright, we need a list of all the people executed in that field.” Sam said.
“Ash is already on it.” Jo said.
Half an hour later, Ash sent them the list and they started looking through it on Sam’s laptop.
“157 names?” Dakota asked in shock.
“We gotta narrow that down or else we’re gonna be digging up a Hell of a lot of stiffs” Dean said.
Sam continued scrolling through then stopped on one name, Herman Webster Mudgett.
“Wasn’t that H. H. Holmes’ real name?” Sam asked.
Dakota sighed and dropped her head.
“You gotta be kidding me.” Dean said.
Sam switched to a new screen and quickly searched it, “Yep. Holmes was executed at Moyamensing May 7, 1896.” He read.
“H. H. Holmes himself.” Dean whispered to himself.
“Come on. I mean, what are the odds?” Dakota asked.
“Who is this guy?” Jo asked.
“The term, ‘multi-murderer’-they coined it to describe Holmes. He was America’s first serial killer before anyone knew what a serial killer was.” Dean explained.
“He confessed to 27 murders, but some put the toll at over 100.” Sam added.
“And his victim flavor of choice, pretty, petite blonds.” Dakota continued.
“He used chloroform to kill them, which is what I smelled in the hallway last night.” Dean said.
“At his house they found bone fragments, and long locks of bloody blond hair.” Sam said.
“So, we just salt and burn the bones, right?” Jo asked.
“That’s the problem. His body is buried in town, but it’s encased in a couple tons of concert.” Dakota explained.
“What? Why?” Jo asked.
“The story goes, he didn’t want anyone mutilating his corpse, ‘cause, you know, it’s what he used to do.” Dean said.
“You know something? We might have an even bigger problem than that.” Sam said standing up and leaning over the papers.
“Why? Just, why?” Dakota sighed.
“Holmes build an apartment building in Chicago. They called it Murder Castle. The whole place was a death factory. They had trap doors, acid vats, quicklime pits. He built these secret chambers, inside the walls and kept them locked in there for days so they’d suffocate. Others, he’d let starve to death.”
“So, Theresa might still be alive. She could be in these walls.” Jo said.
“We need sledgehammers, crowbars.” Dean listed. “We need to smash all these walls, anywhere thick enough to hide a girl.”
With that Jo and Dean walked out the door, presumably to get supplies.
“Am I the only one who sees a problem with randomly smashing walls in an apartment complex?” Sam asked.
“No, I see the problem here, too.” Dakota nodded. Taking a sip of her now cold coffee.
……….
Sam and Dakota went to check the Southeast wall on Teresa's floor. Luckily, because of the cracks everywhere in her apartment it was fairly easy to knock a part of the hallway wall down. The space was claustrophobically small, Dakota had to turn sideways to shuffle through with her flashlight in front of her and her EMF reading in her other hand.
They came across a section of piping in the wall that took up half the space and Dakota sighed, “Do we turn back?” She asked.
“I guess.” Sam said and he pulled out his phone to text Dean and Jo.
Dakota judged the small space in front of them, “I can fit through there.”
“What? Are you crazy? You are not going into the walls alone with a serial killer who likes tiny blonds on the loose!” Sam scolded.
“You got a better idea?” She sassed.
As she squeezed through the small space, Sam pulled out a make of the building they had found. Dakota walked along the narrow walkway and turned a corner, cautiously stepping over more piping.
“Where are you now?” Sam called.
“By the south wall.” She answered.
She came to a dead end at the end of the walkway and went to turn back, until she saw a hole in the floor that she could fit through. Realizing she was too far to yell to Sam she pulled out the walkie talkie Dean had given them.
“I found some sort of air duct. I’m going down.” She told him.
“No. No. Stay up here.” Sam instructed.
“We have to find this girl and you can’t fit through her, so I’m going.” She replied.
Sam sighed over the walkie, “Okay, I’m heading to you the long way around.”
Dakota took a deep breath and climbed into the air duct and grabbed onto the ladder that was attached to the wall.
She pulled her flashlight out of her pocket and started walking through the dusty, cobweb covered tunnel until she came to a place where to pipes blocked the path. Grumbling she tried to make herself same enough to fit through, then froze when she smelled something she couldn’t quite put her finger on.
She looked at the wall in front of her and saw ectoplasm leaking through the cracks.
“Shit!” She whispered harshly to herself, grabbing the walkie talkie and screaming Sam’s name into it as the world went black.
……….
Dakota woke up to the sound of water dripping and something creaking; she immediately sat up and smacked her head on something causing her to groan and lay back down. After rubbing the new forming bump on her forehead she careful felt out to the sides and realized she was in some kind of box or, God forbid, coffin. She wiggled her hand down with the limited room she had to the extra flashlight in her jean jacket pocket and turned it on.
She shined the light at the ceiling and saw that whatever she was in was made of metal and there were fingernail scratches everywhere causing her to shutter. She looked over to the side and saw some kind of door with two small slits in it that was unsurprisingly locked.
“If I look out this right now is something going to jump out at me?” Dakota asked herself quietly. She leaned toward the “window” as much as she could and saw that there was similar metal container across from her.
Suddenly a door opened and Dakota quickly laid back down.
“Hello?” A girl whispered softly.
“Is anybody there?” Another asked quietly.
“Are you Teresa?” The first voice asked.
“Yes.” Teresa answered.
“Wait? Jo?” Dakota whispered.
“Kota? Are you here, too?” The first voice, Jo’s voice asked.
“Yes. Teresa, this won’t make you feel better, but Jo and I are here to rescue you.” Dakota said.
“We’re normally better at our job than this.” Jo promised.
Teresa let out a quiet sob, “Oh God, he’s out there. He’s going to kill us!”
“No he won’t! We’re getting out.” Jo said.
“My brothers are looking for us.” Dakota added.
“Quite!” Teresa commanded and Dakota shut her mouth in time to her footsteps coming towards them.
Dakota held completely still until a hand shot into her box and grabbed on to her hair causing her to scream and thrash until a chunk of her wavy blond hair came out in his hands. She bit her lip as she cradled the part of her head that was now bleeding, listening to Jo scream as her hair was ripped out too.
Soon H. H. Holmes showed back up infront of her box and started whispered, “You’re so pretty. So beautiful.”
“Go to Hell.” Dakota said as she slowly reached down to grab her iron knife she keep in her shoe.
A hand slowly reached into the box and Dakota shoved herself as back as she could, but the arm still reached her and began to caress her arm and once it got down to her hand she pulled the knife and sliced the hand making it disappear.
“How do you like that! Lined with iron you creepy-ass son of a bitch!” Dakota yelled.
“Is he gone?” Teresa asked.
“I don’t know. Jo, if you can reach your knife keep it out and ready.” Dakota instructed.
Jo screamed and then it was suddenly muffled and Dakota realized Holmes must have her.
“Leave her alone you bastard!” Dakota yelled.
“Hey!” A voice Dakota instantly recognized as Dean called out and she breathed a sigh of relief as a gunshot fired.
“Guys! We’re in here! Me, Teresa, and Jo! We’re all here.” Dakota called out.
She heard two of the doors creak open before her door was opened and light shined in her face from Dean’s flashlight.
“You okay?” He asked.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She promised.
“Let’s get the Hell out of here before he comes back.” Jo said.
“Actually, I don’t think we’re leaving just yet.” Dean said.
“Please tell your not planning what I think you’re planning.” Dakota said looking at Sam who shrugged as he held up a weak looking Teresa.
“Remember when I said being bait was a bad plan?” Dean asked rhetorically, “Now it’s kind of the only one we got.”
“Why can’t Dakota do it!” Jo said.
“Hey!” Dakota cried out.
“If we just use one of you, he might come from the other and we can’t risk that.” Sam explained.
………..
Dakota and Jo sat back to back in the center of what Sam and Dean had explained was a sewer system.
“Kota.” Jo whispered and Dakota turned her head to see Holmes standing in the shadows.
“Down.” Dean yelled and Dakota and Jo ducked as the guys fired at the ceiling letting bags of salt fall in a perfect circle around them. Holmes started screaming and Dakota and Dean raced out the door slamming it behind them.
“Scream all you want, there’s no way you’re stepping over that salt!” Jo yelled as they turned to the tunnel that would lead them out of the sewers.
Once they were back on ground Dakota and Jo were sitting on the ground while Sam stood nearby; Dean had run off to grab something very secretly.
“So, is the job as glamorous as you thought it would be?” Sam asked.
“Well, except for all the pee-your-pants terror, yeah.” Jo answered, “But Teresa’s going to live a life ‘cause of us. It’s worth it, isn’t it.”
“Yeah. Sometimes it is.” Dakota nodded.
“Hey, what if someone finds that sewer down there, or a storm washes the salt away?” Jo asked.
“Both very fine points which is why we’re waiting here.” Sam answered.
“For what?” Dakota asked as a beeping noise started behind them. She turned around and saw a cement truck backing up towards them.
“How?” Dakota asked as Dean got out of the truck and Sam started lowering the spout into the entrance to the tunnel.
“I’ll give it back.” Dean promised.
“You ripped off a cement truck?” Jo asked and Dean shrugged.
……….
The car ride back to Nebraska was incredibly uncomfortable, both due to the fact Sam, Jo, and Dakota were all squished in the back seat and also because a very pissed off Ellen was sitting in the passenger’s seat. Sam and Dean had explained after returning the cement truck that Ash had flipped on them and that Ellen was flying out.
“Well, you-you really weren’t kidding about flying out, were you?” Dean tried to joke.
When he was met with silence Dakota saw him slowly lean over and try to turn on the radio, but Ellen smacked his hand away. Jo turned to Dakota and raised her eyebrows.
“This is going to be a long drive.” Dakota whispered.
When they got back to the Roadhouse the next morning Ellen physically grabbed Jo’s arm and dragged her in.
“Ellen, I’m sorry. It was my fault. I lied to you and I’m sorry. But Jo did amazing out there.” Dakota said.
“I think her dad would be proud of her.” Dean added and Dakota’s eyes widened.
“Don’t you dare say that! Not you!” Ellen snapped. “I need a moment with my daughter, alone.”
“Actually, I think it’s best if we head out now. Tell Ash ‘hi’ for us.” Dakota said before grabbing the boys by their arms and leading them out.
“What was that about?” Sam asked.
“Jo’s dad had a pretty strict policy about not working with other hunters, but one day this friend of his really needed his help, so Jo’s dad, Will, let this other hunter use him as bait in their trap and Will didn’t make it. The other person he teamed up with was Dad. Ellen barely spoke to me for a year after that and Dad wasn’t allowed back in the Roadhouse. I don’t think Ellen ever forgave him, and by association us.” Dakota explained.
“But you two seem fine now.” Dean pointed out.
Dakota sighed, “After y’all took off for Stanford and to hunt on your own I stuck around with Dad for maybe six months before...something happened and I took off. I had no idea where you was so I found myself at the Roadhouse and Ellen took me in. I stayed with them for six months before meeting back up with Dean and then it was only another six-seven months till we got Sam.” Dakota explained.

“One room, two queen beds please” Sam politely asked the front desk woman. Dean was standing off to the side you could feel his eyes piercing into the side of you. As uncomfortable as it made you, you didn’t blame him, he was worried. It only ever gotten this bad maybe a few times before and everytime after he always watched you like a hawk.
“Got the room” Sam smiled down at both Dean and you.
“Sammy?”
His brows furrowed “Yeah y/n?”
“C-can i get my own room, please” Tears were threatened to spill over your eyes
Dean butted in just as Sam was about to respond “Absolutely not!”
Your eyes shot over to him “Dean, please” you begged. His composure softened as the tears started to spill over your eyes. “Please”
“Get one right next to ours” Dean told Sam
“Yeah, okay” Sammy nodded
Dean walked closer towards you, pulling you into a hug, his left hand resting on the back of your head “I love you so much y/n” You barely heard what he said after that, as the walls started to shake and you could see him standing in the corner waving at you. He disappeared just as quick as Sammy showed up with another key.
Dean wrapped his arm around your shoulder “Come on kiddo”
But you couldn’t help but look back, standing there with his finger to his lips “shhhh” he whispered out.
“Everything okay y/n?”
“Uh, yeah Sammy, im okay”
++
“Why did he bring her back?” Mary spat out
Dean choked on his whisky “Why wouldn’t he bring her back? She family, she’s our little sister” Dean was always more defensive over you then Sammy was, you were the youngest of the three of them he loved you just as much as the love he had for his little brother, Dean knew you didn’t think that but he never blamed you.
“She’s not your sister, Dean.”
“What are you talking about?” Dean responded his voice venomous
“Dean”
“No, what the hell do you mean? Just because she’s didn’t come from you, doesn’t mean she's not our sister, you have no right coming in here and…” Dean’s voice hitched in his throat when he heard an ear piercing scream, your scream. Dean stood up so quick his chair went fly back, rushing towards your scream, followed by Sam. They made it around the corner before you came into view, your body lying on the ground in your own blood, cuts on your arms, you looked directly at the boys, but they could tell by the look in your eyes you weren't fully there “DON'T LET HIM TAKE ME”
Just as Dean pulled you towards him your eyes rolling to the back of your head pure black foam coming from your mouth.
“y/n!” Dean shouted
“Roll her on her side” Sam yelled at Dean
++
“If you need anything at all were just in the room right beside you, okay?”
“I know Dee, Thank you. Ill be okay”
“Okay, cmere” Pulling you into another hug placing a kiss on your forehead, you gave him a small smile. Just as Dean let go of you Sam took you in his embrace “Love you kiddo”
“Night guys” You spoke softly before closing your door on them.Sliding down the wall. “Why me? Why can’t you leave me alone?”
“I think you know why y/n” Walking closer to you, he sat down crossed legged in front of you.
“You aren’t suppose to still be here”
“Well, sweetheart, hate to break it to ya. But you're gonna have to try harder than that, i'm only getting stronger the longer you hide me away”
Letting out a shaky breath, his smile growing wider he placed his hand on your knee “Now, i only want to have a little fun y/n”
You eyes widened you could feel him “You’re real”
“More real than ever” He proudly spoke as a pain pierced the side of your head.
++
“What's going on here?” Mary finally came from around corner.
Neither brothers responded “Cas!” Dean shouted ignoring his mother.
Just as Dean was about to shout again for the angel, he popped up.
“Make it stop Cas!” Dean frantically yelled.
You were shaking more violently than before blood seeping out both your ears and nose. The angel leaned down placing his hand on your head for what felt like forever to the brothers before you finally stopped shaking and your breathing steadied, but your eyes never did reopen.
“Why isn’t she waking up!” Dean yelled shaking your body slightly, trying to wake you.
“She needs the rest Dean” Cass softly spoke, wiping away the blood from his nose before they noticed how much it sucked out of the angel to get you back.
“I'll take her to her room” Sam softly spoke, Dean nodded staring down at the puddle of your blood.
++
As Sam emerged back from your room, everyone was seated at the table. Dean refilling his glass of whiskey, Castiel looked up as he noticed Sam walking up to the table “We need to talk” Cas spoke bluntly.
Sam nodded, sighing he sat down across from his mother. Gesturing to Dean for the bottle of whiskey, Dean slid it down the table.
“What the hell happened back there boys?” Mary's voice harsh and stern.
Dean took a big sip of his drink “He’s back” He softly spoke directed towards his brother
“She’s never done that before Dean, I've never seen whatever that was happen when she did see him”
Dean signed “I know Sammy”
Mary brought her fist down towards the the table at full force “God dammit boys! I am your mother, don’t ignore me!”
Dean ran his hand down his face “She was seeing lucifer”
Her eyes widened “What the hell do you mean she was seeing lucifer”
“I mean exactly what i just said”
Before Dean could say something he regretted Sam jumped in “She hallucinates him, he's not actually here. But to her he is”
“Oh great, she's crazy” Mary mumbled under her breath
Dean slammed his glass down “Enough! You don’t know anything about her, she’s not crazy!”
“No one just hallucinates the devil without being crazy!” She snapped back
“I did” Sam spoke up, his voice weak.
Her face softened “You’re different Sammy”
Dean scoffed “How is his situation any different? This is bullshit, if your gonna keep this up you should just leave”
Sam's mouth fell open “Dean!”
“No, i'm sick of it, she hasn't even been back 48 hours and she’s looking for any excuse to criticize y/n without even knowing her”
“How am i supposed to respond Dean? I come back from the dead, to find out my dead husband had a child with another woman? I'm not about to welcome her with open arms, especially after what i just witnessed” She took a long pause before continuing “She’s not my family, you are”
Dean felt anger, betrayal, sadness and hatred towards his mother, her being brought back was bitter-sweet. He knew things were going to be different but he didn’t expect it to be like this, this wasn’t how he remembered his Mom “Y/n’s more our family than you are” He spat, grabbing the bottle of whisky off the table.
“Where are you going” Sam asked standing up.
“Im going to see my baby sister”
“Dean” Castiel spoke after it seemed the family fight was done.
“What!” Dean shouted turning around.
“She didn’t just see him”
Dean took a few long strides towards him “What do you mean Cass?”
All eyes were now all the angel “She was in the cage”

Part 1
Part 2
“You really think it’s the Grim Reaper? Like, angel of death, collect your soul, the whole deal?” Sam asked, glancing over his computer between you and Dean.
“No no no, not the reaper, a reaper. There’s reaper lore in pretty much every culture on Earth. They go by a hundred different names, it’s possible that there’s more than one of ‘em,” Dean responded, looking up from a stack of papers.
“But Y/N said she saw a dude in a suit,” Sam said, making you roll your eyes.
“What, you think he should’ve been working the whole black robe thing? Look, you said it yourself that the clock stopped, right?” you asked, receiving a nod from Sam. You grabbed the top paper from Dean’s pile and held it up. “Reapers stop time.”
“And, you can only see ‘em when they’re coming at you, which is why Y/N could see it and we couldn’t,” Dean continued, taking the paper back and putting it down rather rough.
“Maybe,” Sam stated skeptically, again making you roll your eyes.
“There’s nothing else it could be, Sam. The question is, how is Roy controlling the damn thing?” you trailed off, scanning through Dean’s papers another time.
“The cross,” Sam said, sitting up slightly. You looked at Dean, confused.
“What?”
“There was this cross. I noticed it in the church tent, I knew I had seen it before,” Sam said quickly while fumbling with a small box. He breathed out a chuckle and held up a card for you and Dean to look at. “Here.”
You snatched it out of his hand, staring at the picture of a skeleton in a robe, holding a staff with a familiar cross at the top.
“A tarot?” Dean asked, leaning over to look at it with you.
“It makes sense. I mean, tarot dates back to the early Christian era, right? When some priests were still using magic, and a few of them veered into the dark stuff – necromancy and how to push death away, how to cause it,” Sam explained. You handed the card to Dean and took a couple steps back.
“So Roy is using black magic to bind the reaper,” Dean stated, giving the card back to Sam.
“If he is, he’s riding the whirlwind. It’s like putting a dog leash on a great white,” Sam said, obviously at a loss for a solution. Dean sat back in his chair and you walked to the sink, leaning against the counter and crossing your arms.
“Okay, then we stop Roy,” you stated matter-of-factly.
“How?” Sam asked.
“You know how.”
“Wait, what the hell are you talking about? Y/N, we can’t kill Roy,” Sam said, shocked that his little sister would even consider that idea.
“Sam, the guy is playing God, deciding who lives and who dies. I don’t know about you but that sure as hell is a monster in my book,” you said, looking to Dean for support but receiving nothing.
“No, we’re not going to kill a human being, Y/N. We do that, we’re no better than he is,” Sam said, making you clench your teeth and unfold your arms. You didn’t want to give in but you knew he was right.
“Okay so we can’t kill Roy, we can’t kill death,” you said, looking between them, “either of you have any bright ideas?”
Dean shrugged, turning to Sam who sighed. “Okay, um… If Roy is using some kind of black spell on the reaper, we gotta figure out what it is and how to break it.”
Dean parked the impala in the gravel lot in front of the white tent.
“If Roy’s using a spell, there might be a spell book,” Sam reminded you as he stepped out of the car.
“See if you can find it,” you stated simply, shutting the door behind you and walking to Dean who looked at his watch.
“We need to hurry up, service starts in fifteen minutes. Y/N and I will try to stall Roy,” Dean said and you nodded, following closely behind him. A man stepped in front of the three of you and handed everyone a yellow piece of paper.
“Roy LeGrange is a fraud. He’s no healer,” he said as you took the paper.
“Amen, brother,” Dean nodded, taking one for himself.
“You keep up the good work,” Sam said, also taking a paper and walking in the opposite direction as the man thanked him.
As you walked up the side aisle, Dean’s phone rang. He quickly took it out of his pocket and answered it, “what do you got?”
You looked around to make sure nobody was listening or watching.
“The guy in the parking lot?” Dean asked, his voice hushed. You looked at him with wide eyes. He shut the phone and pinched his eyebrows together, obviously concerned.
“Well?” you asked. Dean just gestured for you to follow him further down the aisle.
“Layla. Layla Rourke, come up here child,” Roy said and you closed your eyes, extremely upset that you would have to stop her from being healed. The whole crowd clapped and cheered as Layla stood up in disbelief and hugged her mom. You took your bottom lip between your teeth to prevent any emotions from escaping and turned away as Layla began walking towards you and Dean, towards the stage and Roy.
Dean grabbed her arm before she passed by and whispered, “Layla, listen to me, you can’t go up there.”
“Why not? We’ve waited for months,” Layla whispered back, stunned that Dean would want to stop her.
“You can’t let Roy heal you,” you said, standing close to them both. Layla stared at you, shocked.
“I don’t understand, Roy healed you, didn’t he?” she said. “I mean, why wouldn’t I at least let him try?”
“Because if you do, something bad is gonna happen,” you stated, trying to put it in simple terms. “I can’t explain, I just need you to believe me.”
“Layla,” Sue Ann called, holding out her hand.
“Please,” you pleaded. Layla looked back at her mother, then at you and Dean again.
“I’m sorry,” she said as she shook her head and pulled her arm out of Dean’s grasp.
“Layla. Layla!” You called, but she continued to walk away. “Dammit!”
The crowd cheered as Sue Ann helped her up the stage steps. You walked away angrily, wanting to find the protester before it was too late, but Dean held out a hand to stop you.
“Pray with me, friends,” Roy began and slowly lifted his hands in the air. The crowd did the same. You looked around frantically for something to stop him.
“Fire! Hurry, the tent’s on fire! Everybody get out of here!” Dean shouted, covering his face so no one would know where it was coming from. You heard Layla’s mother beg the reverend to proceed, but everyone was already evacuating.
You pulled on Dean’s arm. “Let’s get out of here, before they get suspicious,” you whispered, but Dean stayed where he was and fished his phone out of his pocket, dialing Sam’s number.
“We did it, we stopped Roy,” Dean said into the phone. You sighed slightly, still glancing around nervously. Dean froze. “Well then who the hell is?”
You sucked in a breath as you searched Dean’s face for answers, knowing that it must not have worked. You caught him staring at the side of the stage and followed his line of sight.
“Sue Ann,” Dean said and shut the phone. You started to speed-walk towards her. You grabbed her by the shoulder, turning her around to face you. She gasped and tried to cover the necklace of the all too familiar cross around her neck.
“Help! Help me!” Sue Ann shouted. You swore under your breath and glanced at Dean as two cops grabbed you both and pulled you away.
They dragged you out of the tent and you yanked yourself away from them. “I just don’t understand. After everything we’ve done for you. After Roy healed you,” Sue Ann said. You wanted to strangle her. “We’re just very very disappointed, Y/N.”
You stared at her without a word.
“You can let them go, I’m not going to press charges. The Lord will deal with her as… He sees fit,” Sue Ann said in fake offense and walked away.
“We catch you round here again, we’ll put the fear of God in you, understand?” The cop holding your jacket said.
“Yes sir, fear of God. Got it,” you responded sarcastically and they shoved you both harshly. You bit your tongue, and Dean pulled on your sleeve, pointing at Sam across the lot. You followed him towards the car, but stopped when you overheard Roy talking to Layla’s mother.
“Private session tonight, no interruptions. I give you my word, I’ll heal your daughter.” Roy’s words made your breath hitch in your throat and you looked up at Dean. He nodded curtly and continued walking towards the car and Sam.
You arrived back at the motel and explained the situation to Sam. He sat on the edge of the bed with you as Dean looked out the window as a precaution.
“So Roy really believes,” Sam said.
“I don’t think he has any idea what his wife’s doin’,” Dean said as he turned back towards you both.
“Well, I found this,” Sam said, handing a small book to Dean, “hidden in their library. It’s ancient. Written by a priest who went dark side. There’s a binding spell in here for trapping a reaper.”
“Must be a hell of a spell,” you sighed, looking over Dean’s shoulder as he sat down to skim through it.
“Yeah. You gotta build a black altar with seriously dark stuff – bones, human blood,” Sam explained as Dean flipped through pages. “To cross a line like that, that preacher’s wife – black magic, murder…evil.”
“Desperate,” Dean said, stopping at a page. “Her husband was dying, she’d have done anything to save him. She was using the binding spell to keep the reaper away from Roy.”
“Cheating death. Literally,” you breathed out, taking the book from Dean.
“Yeah but Roy’s alive, so why is she still using the spell?” Dean questioned.
“Right. To force the reaper to kill people she thinks are immoral.” Sam responded. You shook your head.
Dean muttered, “May God save us from half the people who think they’re doing God’s work.”
“We gotta break that binding spell,” you said, exasperated. Dean pointed at a picture of the cross in the book and showed it to Sam.
“You know, Sue Ann had a Coptic cross like this. When she dropped it, the reaper backed off,” Dean stated.
“So you think we gotta find the cross or destroy the altar?” Sam asked and you stood up.
“Maybe both,” you answered, putting your jacket back on. “Whatever we do, we better do it soon, or he’s healing Layla tonight.”

So this was requested ages ago and I apologize, but I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be a Sam x reader!sister, so if I’m wrong or totally screwed up your request again I apologize. Also I’m finally out of school so I can write again! Yay!
You groggily strolledinto the kitchen, running your hands through your hair in an attempt to controlyour bed head. Coffee; that was theonly thought in your mind at the moment. It had been a long night of researchand alcohol, trying to find a way to cure Dean. You poured yourself a mug andwent to take a seat at the table, only to be startled by your other brother; face-downin a book with his hand still wrapped around a glass of whatever liquor hemanaged to gather up. You sighed, knowing that Dean’s situation had reallytaken a toll on him. You put your mug down and placed a light hand on Sam’sshoulder, shaking him gently.
“Sammy,” you whispered. Not to your surprise, he didn’t budge. You shook him a little harder. “Sam, c’mon, you should get to bed.” It was 6 A.M., but he probably could have slept throughthe whole day on the table if you’d let him. He mumbled something inaudible, soyou tugged on his arm. He tried to bat your hand away, but ended up sending theglass he was holding clear across the floor with a crash. At the noise, helifted his head and looked at you with wide eyes and a small gasp.
“Y/N, I can’t believeyou did that. Are you drunk?” Heasked you, truly confused. You lowered your eyes, giving him an annoyed glanceas you made your way to the pantry for the broom. You swept the glass into apile to finish cleaning up later and went to retrieve your brother.
“C’mon, Sam,” you saidas you helped him stand. He wobbled a little and leaned into you. You gruntedat the weight, but put his arm around your shoulder as you walked him down thehallway. He glanced at your hand holding onto his, then at your other hand aroundhis waist latched to his shirt, then back at the hand at your shoulder. Hewrinkled his eyebrows and wiggled a little.
“What are you doing?”You asked, struggling to hold onto him.
“Put me down,” he grumbled, lazily trying to shimmy away from you.
“Believe me, I couldn’tpick you up if I tried,” you murmured, grinning slightly as you tightened yourgrip. You reached his bedroom and guided him inside. As soon as you let go ofhim, he plopped onto the bed, curling up with his pillow. You untied his bootsand slipped them off, tossing them toward the closet. Flicking off the lamp, youtried to make your way to the door but were stopped by a light tug on the backof your t-shirt. Turning around, Sam stared at you with watery eyes as he heldout his arms.
“Stay with me,” he whispered, “Please.”
A pained expressioncrossed your face as you looked at your big brother, so vulnerable and broken. You didn’t say a word as you squeezed into the bed, something you hadn’t donein years, and he wrapped his arm around your middle. You took a deep breath, closing your eyes as you held onto Sam’s shirt once again, only this time itwasn’t to protect him from a bottle of whiskey.

Dean groaned loudly as you trudged through the door of the motel room. It had been a constant, near 24 hour, loop of driving and interviewing and the three of you were beyond exhausted and beyond annoyed with each other. The case you and your brothers were working involved a suspected haunting of a high school, so there had been many ‘witnesses’ at the scene. Barely being able to keep your eyes open, you dropped your duffel by the table, slipped your blazer off, and flopped onto the first bed in sight.
“This is the most comfortable, uncomfortable bed ever,” you mumbled into the blanket, taking your gun out of the waistband of your slacks and tossing it onto the other bed. A heavy thud landed directly to your left and you lifted your head to see your mess of a brother, still in his FBI suit.
“Scoot, shorty!” Dean shouted as he attempted to shove you off the side of the bed. You protested and shoved back at him with no luck.
“Why can’t you and Sammy share a bed for once?” you whined and grabbed a pillow, smacking Dean weakly with it. He yanked it out of your grip and whacked you back before shoving it under his head and closing his eyes.
“This is so unfair,” you snapped and sat up, crossing your arms over your chest. You turned towards Sam and pleaded, “Sam, I don’t think I’ve ever had a bed to myself in my entire life, I just want a good night’s sleep, there’s not even a couch for me in here!”
You knew you sounded childish, but you also knew that it would probably work. Sam sighed and nodded. He shook Dean’s legs to wake him up and received a solid kick to the abdomen.
“Dude!” Sam exclaimed, putting a hand to his stomach. “She’s right, just let her sleep,” he told Dean and sat on the other bed to untie his shoes. When Dean said nothing in return, you maneuvered to stand, giving Dean another shove.
“I’m gunna get ready for bed. I want a bed, Dean!” you yelled and threw your shoe at him, hitting him in the leg. He murmured something incoherent while you closed the door to the bathroom behind you. When you went to brush your teeth, you were greeted by the toothpaste caked almost entirely around the tube and its cap.
“Ew Dean! Come on! Again? Would you quit doing this?” You stormed out of the bathroom, waving the tube around.
Dean, still face-first into the bed, mumbled, “Don’t know what you’re talkin’ about, sis.”
You huffed and unnecessarily slammed the bathroom door shut. Annoyed, you wiped the toothpaste off with a grimace. You heard Sam talking to Dean but couldn’t make out what he said. A few minutes later you reentered the room to see your brothers, both still in their suit-tops, facing each other in a stance you knew all too well.
“Loser gets the floor,” Dean said quickly as he got into rock-paper-scissors formation. Sam squinted his eyes and tilted his head slightly. You watched as Dean played scissors and Sam, rock. Dean swore under his breath and turned away, irritated.
“Night, sucker,” you snickered and dove into your now empty bed, yanking the blankets over your shoulders.
“I hate you both,” Dean muttered, giving Sam a push and you a glare. After a bit more bickering, they both changed into t-shirts. Dean grabbed a pillow and the top blanket off each bed, folding one in half to lie on and covering himself with the other.
“Love ya, De,” you called out, feeling slightly guilty for making your brother sleep on the floor, but not guilty enough to give up your bed.
“Whatever,” he grunted, turning over on his side. You were nearly asleep when your gassy brother let one loose.
“Aww c’mon Dean!” Sam cried out and you buried your face into your pillow, avoiding whatever smells were lingering in the air. Dean chuckled and you heard Sam throw something at him. “You’re frickin’ disgusting!”
