I have so many thoughts about this. my brain was seriously overloaded the past few days trying to make them cohesive.. and I still don't think I have!! But we ball!!

okay, so we need to establish the world first.

high school au, no hunting au. I'm gonna stick close to cannon and say that all of this takes place in a small town where everyone knows each other and at least two neighbors have farms. I don't know why, but the farms detail seems very fitting.

let's go out on a whim and establish john. even though he's evil incarnate, I want to make him worse (because a writer is always more evil). perhaps, back in high school, John and Ellen went out on a few dates. but those two never really had anything. even though he was the star quarterback and was headed off on great scholarships. John even then was a jerk. It only got worse when he tore his ACL and therefore couldn't ever get out of that stupid little town he was in.

just to throw some salt in the wound: Ellen goes and marries the team's tightend. They have Jo! She grows up and is as dedicated to sports as her father was. When she gets on the soccer team and is coached by John Winchester, she doesn't notice the fact that he's odd. But in his mind, he's pissed off, because the two boys he's got are fucking terrible. He should be Jo's dad—not the dude the team used to call "cupcake" in the locker rooms. do we hate him any more yet?

okay, so dean. he's a great football player. not as good as his old man, but he's good. every day, he tries his fucking best to be what his dad needs him to be. going as far as to get up at the crack of dawn to do some drills out in their years. but that takes a toll on him. especially seeing as how he can never get quite good enough—and his father had started laying into Sam. like one of his kids had to be the next him.

this brings us to stoner!reader. she meets dean after a football practice. he's sulking and she asks him what crawled up his ass because his mood was ruining her view. for some reason, that works. they actually become really good friends. even smoke together when dean can get away from his father's prying eyes.

alright, Sam, my poor baby. he's the smartest out of the Winchester three. and goddamnit, he deserves to use that big brain of his. he wants to be on the decathlon team so bad. the countless hours spent in his local library and stunning grades just prove that! but that's not good enough for his dad. so, he's forced into track and hockey. though, he'd have to admit, hockey isn't terrible. it just isn't his dream!

we couldn't possibly forget our lovely jenifer check!coded ruby. she's infatuated with Sam. the woman could have literally anyone in school... and chose the guy who beats up ice and pavement and books in his spare time. even though she's shorter than Sam, her prescense looms large when she scares the crap out of him by sitting with him at lunch.

She's so cocky on the court—only because she has total control. She knows the routines and exactly where to stand before shooting. It's second nature to her! Once her foot steps off the shiny flooring, though, her confidence snuffs out like a candle when water gets thrown on it.

More for my witch! Mary&Sam spn AU (that exists solely in my head)

Another thing I think would be fun. (And I wish I could read a fic like that).

Sam always knew some witch stuff. Because it's impossible to be a hunter and don't know at least some practical things or related info. After all you need to do your research and undo spells and curses. And he always thought it pretty interesting.

But he haven't really gotten into it before Stanford. During his first year he was looking for a part time job and one bookstore near campus was hiring. Sam loves books so he applied for the job. Accidentally that bookstore happened to be an esoteric one. Held by a real deal grandma witch that practically adopted him on the spot. Because she clocked him as a pretty powerful witch and as a psychic immediately.

Eventually Sam learns that his mom's side of the family was a pretty known witch family. But most of them died after they fucked with some powerful demon ten years before Mary died. At least that's what is known in the community.

Sam still got together with Jessica. Dean still went to him and asked for help. Jessica still got killed by Azazel. A demon that is apparently going after the witch! side of the family. So Sam is back on the road hunting monsters with Dean same as in canon.

But. He is a witch. And a psychic. And he has to hide that side of himself from Dean. And pretend like visions is some new shit happening and not his normal. He can't tell Dean and John what he knows about Mary either. And he's understandably afraid. Because he's what the other side of his family hunts.

So I'm as always created a premise of a fic I wish was out there for me to read 😅

I don't think Jimmy would ever deny it being him, but he would want to keep his true identity on the down-low. People from other schools come to the St. Delta Frat house specifically to see Castiel, so he has his alter ego separated from Jimmy.

If some random person called him Castiel in public, he wouldn't acknowledge it and pretend it's someone else. But if a friend was hanging out with him and slipped in the name, Jimmy would turn pale and do a double take like "Sorry, who? and be so embarrassed that he got caught. He would poorly explain himself saying he's "committed to the house" or some nonsense, and that he's not destructive or anything because he understands no normal person asks to be the public's boytoy. He has you promise to keep his real name away from his Castiel persona because whatever happens in the house, stays in the house.

Imagine the twist if Mary's side of the family was not hunters but witches instead??? And Sam is the one who inherited the gift. The deal with Azazel still took place and still makes sense.

Tbh to me it would have been a far more interesting plot twist. And in my opinion - way more on brand with the early seasons themes 🤔

Like John hating on all supernatural and teaching his kids the same. All the while his dead wife who he practically sanctified - was in fact a witch herself. I think that could have been so so good.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some thoughts on Mary/Rowena (Marywena).

I stumbled upon this ship totally by accident, and now it’s living in my head rent-free. I am absolutely obsessed with their dynamics - Rowena learning how to trust, and Mary learning how to actually live again.

To me, they’re that "understanding each other without words" kind of couple. Honestly, I don't think they'd fight much at all. They’re both mature, grown women, and let’s be real—they’d definitely sleep together. I feel like Rowena’s need for control and power would be satisfied right there in bed. But Mary isn't as simple as she looks either; she’s tough, bold, and honestly... a little hungry (and no, not for food ;)).

Also, can we talk about a young Mary AU? The vibe changes so much! Imagine a young, sassy, dangerous Mary falling head over heels for a witch. She’d totally be trailing after Rowena like a puppy, ngl. But in the end, Mary’s sheer audacity (mostly my headcanon, but still!) would definitely win Rowena over.

Long story short, I love this ship with all my heart. I’m planning to post way more about them (and not only them ;)) - stay tuned! :)
