We all remember the episode 'It's A Terrible Life' (4. 17, released in 2009), where Sam and Dean were Sam Wesson and Dean Smith (Smith & Wesson is a gun company, so that's a very Winchester-y Easter egg in and of itself) and had boring ol office jobs, right? This episode was also the angel Zachariah's first appearance.

is one of the several spiffy outfits we see Dean in throughout the episode.

Now, the actor who played Zachariah, Kurt Fuller, also had a role in the 2003 Adam Sandler movie, 'Anger Management', in which he was the main character's total bitch of a boss, Frank Head. I recently saw 'Anger Management' for the second time (the first was before I started SPN) and later that night, I was scrolling on here and saw a post that featured a GIF of Dean in this outfit and my jaw immediately hit the floor because I had JUST seen the exact same outfit on Kurt Fuller a few hours prior.

This episode of SPN was released 6 years after 'Anger Management', and it's surely no coincidence since it's the EXACT SAME outfit (to my knowledge) and Kurt Fuller's very first entrance on SPN, so this was almost definitely a deliberate, and quite frankly, genius, Easter egg.

“I’m home,” said Dean, walking into your apartment and kicking off his sneakers. He didn’t even make it to the kitchen table before plopping down on the couch and closing his eyes. “What do I have to do to get a foot massage tonight?”

“Nothing,” you said, peering over the back of the couch at him. “You in that outfit always makes me want to give you massages.”

“It’s scrubs,” said Dean with a tired smile. “Not that sexy, baby.”

“Hey, I love you in flannel but your nurse uniform makes you even sexier, Dean,” you said leaning down and kissing him. You could tell he was a bit too tired for any physical activity tonight but maybe he’d perk up after he found out. “You got something in the mail today. Something from the hospital.”

Dean practically shot up and ran over to the counter, plucking the envelope out and tearing it open. He didn’t look at the letter though and instead handed it to you. 

“Oh come on, you should be the one to read it,” you said, taking it from him. He gave you puppy dog eyes and you sighed. You read it over before handing it back to him. 

“Well?” he asked. 

You shrugged before turning your lips up into a smile. “Congrats babe.”

He immediately started reading the letter, telling him he got the job he’d put in for up in the nursery. Being an ER nurse had been fun for a few years but Dean was sick of it and quite frankly the thought of him being around babies all day made your heart melt.

“You know what this means right?” he asked. “No more graveyard shifts.”

“I might be looking forward to that just a little,” you said, wrapping your arms around him.

“Well you know that means I’ll have more energy at night now,” said Dean, picking you up and setting you on top of the counter.

“You were ready to pass out two seconds ago,” you teased. “Plus dinner’s in the oven.”

“I’ll be quick about it then,” said Dean, stepping forward and kissing you. It was hard to say you hadn’t even made up the side dish yet when Dean was grinning against you. He’d worked hard for his promotion and if he wanted to celebrate tonight, you certainly weren’t going to stop him.

Until he stopped first.

“Something wrong?” you asked, Dean pulling away with a slight groan. “Baby?”

“It’s nothing,” he said, kissing you again. But you could feel that smile turn to a wince and you were pushing him back. 

“Dean...”

“I forgot to run to the store. We don’t have any more condoms,” he said, running his hand through his hair. 

“Do we...need one?” you asked. Dean raised an eyebrow as he looked you over. “We’re both ready. New job with better hours...it’s kind of the perfect time to start trying.”

“I’m definitely not screwing you on the counter then,” said Dean. “Let’s do it right.”

“Such a romantic.”

“Shit, Dean,” you said, catching your breath, trying to get some air back in your lungs thirty minutes later. Dean rolled off you to his side of the bed, panting and throwing an arm over your waist. He started to laugh after a few seconds before you caught on. “Dirty boy.”

“Oh sweetheart, trying is so much fun,” he said, wiping a strand of hair out of your face. 

“I forget how horny you are when you aren’t tired,” you said. You giggled as you turned your head to face him. Dean had been so much happier the past few weeks. He left for work when you did, got home when you did. You actually got to be with your husband for more than thirty minutes a day. It’d made you pretty freaking happy too.

“You figure with all the trying we’ve been doing we’d have done it by now,” said Dean, walking his fingers over your stomach and down lower. “Guess we just have to keep doing it. Such a shame.”

He smirked as you sucked in a breath, Dean teasing you again as if you needed the buildup. 

“Oh, I’m willing to put in the time with that sexy nurse Dean Winchester to get...Dean,” you whined, rolling your hips when he curled against the spot inside you and getting on top of him. “Too slow. More please.”

“I need a few more minutes baby,” said Dean, teasing you again as you lay over him, burying your head against his. “Relax and let me do all the work.”

“’Sup dude,” said Dean, plopping down on the couch when he got home one night a month later. “You still want to go out to eat tonight with Sam and Jess?”

“Yeah, you got another letter in the mail too. Figured we should celebrate,” you said, tossing him the envelope, smiling to yourself. It took Dean about ten seconds to read the letter before he was knelt in front of you, giving you a hug. “You’re gonna be a daddy.”

“I wonder if they’ll be the same day,” said Dean. You tilted your head curiously and Dean chuckled. “Earlier when Sam invited us...he and Jess...they’re also expecting.”

“Seriously? That’s awesome!” you said. Dean ran his hand over your stomach and you giggled. “The Winchester family is getting bigger by the minute around here.”

“You still want two right?” asked Dean, smiling up at you. 

“Hopefully. It’s too soon to tell if I’ve got just one bun in the oven,” you said. “Thankfully I’ve got the best baby nurse in the world to take care of however many we got coming our way.”
