20. Does your character like animals? What are some of their favorite animals? Would they want pets? What about mythological creatures?
Hadrian absolutely loves animals, but doesn’t keep any himself as it’s a pain in the neck to have to bring them with him or give them up every time he moves living spaces. And he does move often. His favorites are felines, unsurprisingly for his temperament; probably the best bet for him would be one of those Felitrons that don’t really require much, but lay around the house and meow indignantly at the sky. He’d love that.
30. When it comes to the arts (music, film, theater, etc), what does your character like?
With regard to music, Hadrian would definitely be into some good ol’ fashioned grunge, probably with a sprinkling of punk, ska, and dissonant prog rock in there too. With film he gravitates to action and adventure flicks with lots of explosions and roundhouse kicks – Walker, Nexus Ranger comes to mind – and as far as theater goes, he’s never actually been to see a play or an opera before! Though if he did, he’d likely want something full of swashbuckling piratey grandiosity.
35. Is your character afraid of death? If they got to choose how to die, how would they want to go?
Hadrian looked death straight in the face years ago at Hycrest, and walked away limping but alive. His brother, parents, and several friends did not. At this point in his life, he’d welcome another duel with the Grim Reaper just to maybe see their faces again. As for how he’d choose to go? As loudly and inconveniently for everyone else as possible.
39. When people look at your character, is there some assumption they might make about them just by appearance? Is that assumption correct?
Looking at him, one would probably assume that he’s poor, a hard physical laborer, and has been through too much stress too early in his life given the premature greying. They would be entirely correct. With Hadrian, what you see is mostly what you get appearance-wise.
