for the past few days, i've been working onnn. studies? practice sheets? reference sheets??? for bendy, boris, cuphead, and mugman from @myth-of-the-machine - and here are what those look like:

now, looking back at this, there are. Definitely. things i wanna go back and change 😭 namely when it comes to the b-bros

but i think i did pretty well, given that this is my first time in years drawing smth other than a semi-realistic human(oid)

next on the agena is to do a proper panel redraw or two to further practice drawing them- maybe smth from the upcoming update (that i Pray and Hope is this weekend. there's already been so many sacrifices /silly)

i also. need to draw more boris. i think my husband'll jump me if i don't draw his fave LOL. mugmutt content perchance

as of recent i've really wanted to get back into drawing, but i just had no idea what, yk? and then BOOM: really bad bout of gender dysphoria hit me like a semi around the same time

one thing led to another, and i ended up with the idea to draw bendy "showing off" his non-canon top surgery scars—really, he's just stretching, but still

it helped me a lot, projecting my identity onto him and portraying it as something to be proud of and alright with. i found that by the time i finished this drawing, all that dysphoria had already passed

i know it was confirmed a bit ago that bendy isn't canonically trans (ftm), but i think i'll continue to draw and write him as such regardless. what started as a half-joke headcanon has turned into smth that really resonates with me, and has become an outlet for me to express my identity, and i hope that it brings joy to any other trans person that comes across my trans!bendy posts

i started a short pre-divorce inkypetals comic a bit ago, took a break, got back to working on it again and now i'm taking ANOTHER break so i can work on a different drawing 💔💔 however i wanna get at least part of it out into the world, sooo

so i finally went ahead and (re)read homestuck, which is also why i vanished off the face of the earth; between getting the flu and hyperfixating like a laser on this franchise, i metaphorically stopped existing for a while, and i'm finally up to speed w/ all the rereleased panels that we have as of today

we're in act 6 now

and i can't believe i ever went into this thinking i WOULDN'T get stupidly attached to dirk strider god damnit 💔 I'M A HEART PLAYER TOO but nooooo i thought "surely not!" for some reason

and like. i don't know a looot abt the epilogues or BC? but ik enough to think to myself, again, god fucking damnit /lh
