They lost a lotta things when their building got condemned, but Sam was saddened most by losing a few of their photographs. When they moved into their new office, he brought what he’d managed to salvage; unfortunately, they weren’t exactly in mint condition.
And also this is why there’s at least one episode of the cartoon where he pulls a little polaroid-like camera out of his pocket

Day 2- Headcannons
Sometimes when Max wakes up before Sam he likes to try and make breakfast. It’s not that he’s a horrible cook, usually what he makes is good, but I’m sure we all remember that Max has the attention span and memory of a bottle of dish soap. This combination usually results in the kitchen almost burning down if he uses the stove unsupervised.
