#indiayogaretreat None of us is born with a crystal ball that predicts the future. Since we can’t foresee every change and obstacle that life throws in our path, the key to navigating change gracefully is our perspective before the changes even surface. Preparation is everything. The first step is to admit to ourselves that nothing in our lives are completely under our control. Everything changes, people change, businesses go through ebbs and flows, nothing stays the same for long. Daily pranayama, meditation, asana, nourishing foods, loving relationships and studying about practices that feed my mind and inspire prepares me, so that I don’t get bogged down by strong emotions like shock, surprise, fear and disappointment when changes actually happen. Oh don’t get me wrong, I still experience some strong emotions, but I am able to stay focused rationally. I am able to use the emotion rather than it using me.
