emmm~ rec some books or songs or movies ! (how were atomic blonde and baby driver too??)

mirrrrrr <3 i will gladly do that!!!!!! omg ty for asking me abt the movies!!! i rlly enjoyed atomic blonde tbh. the action was gorey and intense but i enjoyed the fact that such a strong woman lead could kick so much ass with twice as much work. the plot was very interesting and it has your head spinning just a little from who’s working for who and it was overall a goodie!!! as for baby driver, i’m not sure if it was my cup of tea. i guess i expected more from it even tho i didn’t really kno what i was expecting ??? (but god some of the dialogue was too much like it explained too much over showing and i wasn’t happy with the way the writers characterized jamie foxx’s character ://)

books:

the paper menagerie by ken liu | i’m reading his short stories book and the only one i’ve really read is that one it’s so good!!! it made me cry tbh

so much i want to tell you: letters to my little sister by anna akana | ok lemme just say that i flippin’ adore anna akana so much and the first time i read anything by her was her little diary-esque short story called “surviving suicide” and that was about coping with the suicide of her little sister. this book is a little bit of a follow up but with her own little anecdotes and advice about things she’s learned that she would impart to her sister kristina. it’s a plus that i love anna but i read that book and it was just so inspirational bc she’s a content creator and she suffers through depression and anxiety and it was so her, so truthful and it’s fantastic!!!

after hours by haruki murakami | this is a relatively short read like anna’s book & it has such an interesting turn of events with characters you wouldn’t think would come together like a former woman wrestler and a college student named mari who’s at the epicenter of all this nightly nonesuch
