Don’t Say A Word
”I told you that if you walked out that doo than that was it! You chose to leave! You left me there. Stranded and alone and you were just okay with it while you ran out here to play pretend!!” His voice continually scaling up the more mad he got. “Probably hoeing around too no doubt. Spitting your maiden name like our marriage means nothing to you. It wouldn’t surprise me at this point.” Sam kept his blue hues focused on her, unchanged in his demeanor, his mind trying to erase the image he just painted in his head. He refused to let her see him break. Hearing the door handle start to rattle, Sam put a finger up to keep her silent. “Say something and I swear....” He threatened lowly as he reached for the door handle and opened the door slightly, looking at the set director. “Hello sir. The name is Carlyle. I’m sure you’ve heard of me. See Miss Lockland, rather Mrs. Carlyle will be back to set soon. I just need a few minutes more with my wife here. If you don’t mind.” Sam gave a charming half smile, nodding slightly. He could tell the director was confused about his statement but he honestly didn’t care. Without a word the director nodded and turned back toward the set. Sam sighed as he walked back up the steps of the trailer, locking the door behind him as he once again stood in front of Lily. “Now, where were we? Oh yes. Home.” the word home rolling off the tip of his tongue slowly. Little did she know they had moved. “It’s a new place. I thought a new place might do us some good. Even got you the bath tub you’ve been begging me for. It’s the life you wanted.” He tried to hide his eye roll. Sam hated playing nice but there were too many witnesses to do otherwise. “This is the last time I ask nicely. Please come home. You don’t want to see what happens if you say no.”
