✊🏾📻🎶 I thought this was brilliant marketing on the part of Amazon for #TheManInTheHighCastle that I pre-ordered this on #vinyl. Take modern artists and have them revisit 50s/60s songs of angst and love... Produced by #Dangermouse & #SamCohen of course. I never gave the show a chance (partly because getting Amazon Prime on our TV is always a process) but they did this so well I want to give it a chance. #ResistanceRadio (at Central LA, Los Angeles, California)
Take a listen to a few of the songs from the upcoming 18-song LP, Resistance Radio: The Man In The High Castle Album. The music is all envisioned and produced by Sam Cohen and Brian Burton (the latter whom you may know better as Danger Mouse). It inspired by the original Amazon Studios series The Man In The High Castle. The show's premise, taken from a Philip K. Dick novel from 1962, imagines a world in which the allies lost World War II. In it, the United States is bifurcated, half-controlled by the Germans, half by the Japanese. The album takes 18 early 60's classics and redoes them.
