and men too of course. . . But I’ve been overwhelmed lately by the immense gratitude I feel for all the incredible women in my life. Those that I connect with on a regular basis and those that inspire me from afar. I’ve always cherished my girlfriends, but at this point in my life I am deeply aware of how lucky I am to be surrounded by so many wise, whole hearted, funny, deep, sassy, loving goddesses. . . Just a small sampling of the awesomeness... My friend @chelahhorsdal who is not only a super talented actress starring on #maninthehighcastle, but one of my favourite women to sit, eat, drink and have hilarious and meaningful conversations with. She inevitably leaves me with some sage advice and kisses from her dog gaffer ☺️ My bud @shimsher falls in the same category (although usually there is more wine involved ;) Not only is she creatively talented, she also has been fostering kids and giving them a loving and healthy home for something crazy like 20 years. Or my girl @kristineilana who is an incredible human and friend and also a super talented photographer (check out @theportraitsessions & @perspectivefeminine to see the magic). Or my friend @sabrinarmf who lost her job at the Westender when they closed their doors so she decided to start up #yvrscreenscene and do what she does best which is write about the talent and lives of Vancouver’s film and tv industry. We ALL love interviewing with her. Or how about my talented costar on #taketwoabc @rachelbilson who is basically in every single scene, raising a three year old and barely gets to sleep, but is crushing it and does it with a smile and a great attitude. My bestie, @lolomccoco who was sent to London to set up a new company because she has mad skillz and personality and is a boss. My former tv wife @erikaalexanderthegreat who is an actor/writer/producer tour de force as well as being a political advocate for pussies everywhere. . . Far too many to list. Women of the world. Wonkified Day 9 The Cramps - the goo goo muck : One day when all my gear is not packed up from giggin' I will play some electric stuffs. : In high school my dad and his law partner had a band "burger chef and jeff" who played cramps tunes in our basement. : This is for them. : Also, a few years ago for Halloween my friends, and also killer musicians, and I had a cramps cover band called the Clamps and we dressed up like x-files characters. : Unfortunately, scully got a little sauced on rebel yell and forgot even the simplest of chords. Oops . . "Wonkified," is an attempt to become better, break out of - default. : I will post a song a day. Cover. Original. Improv. Heck, I don't know but hopefully it'll be 10% of not suck. : There is no deadline, no magic number. : *Though, new rule starting day 3 - as artists...as humans, we tend to overthink things, each video is the best out of 4 takes - max - as to preserve the raw aspect of what this project aims to do. Hopefully as this goes on it'll be more bodacious with less takes. : This is just an experiment in my love for Music and desire to disrupt complacency. : I love this tune.
