The Ink Demonth Day 24- Heart

Hearts were changed that day. The day Sammy and Susie finally tied the knot. Some were relieved that they finally did it. Sammy had a thing for her from the moment he saw her. Susie had a boyfriend at the time but broke up with him and took some time before she started dating again. Sammy’s had never been so full of joy. Something was finally going his way. For the first time in a long time, he was actually happy with his life. Henry was similar. His heart was happy that his friend was finally happy. Joey should have been happy for him, but he wasn’t. He was jealous of her. He had known Sammy longer. He had helped Sammy through all of his boughts of anxiety and depression. He loved him longer. Joey hid it though. If Sammy was happy, then he was happy. That’s what he was telling himself anyways. Then they all heard those words.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

Sammy’s heart was whole again. Joey’s broke into pieces.
