Okay well, that's a new way of looking it (I'm just not really used to that). Personally I like identifying my ethnicity as "Asian American". I never just identify as "American". It's something I'm proud of and my culture is a huge part of my life. Although I'm black, I was born/raised in America. My nationality is American but I still want to identify the fact that I'm black.
because that’s you american pov and i respect it. i’m complaining about identifying europeans with american race construct.
because the term doesn’t exist in non-anglo-saxon countries if you used it outside of them people would think you are talking about black people. nobody would ever think about asian people because you are, you know, pale :)
