I've been home since Sunday night for my moms birthday and this morning my mom and my older brother who are like bestest friends and attached at the hip, tag teamed me and I was ready to pull my hair out and destroy everything so I checked out-- [i emotionally check out of stressful situations instead of getting myself worked up. When I check out my face goes blank and I usually reply with short answers because I literally don't care anymore] -- of my mothers whole birthday week. I was like whatever. But then I talked to my big cousins and they made me remember that my mom only turns 50 once and I shouldn't let old things ruin this week. Because my mom and my brother ganging up on me is old news. They did it all the time when I was younger. So no point in still getting upset over it. Or numbing out over it. I guess I've just been away so long-- [i no longer live at home as I am a 22 y/o adult..... Esque person thingy.... Yeah???]-- that I forgot how irritating it can be.
