As I was with Moses, so I will be with you.
"The LORD said to Joshua, "Today I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you." Joshua 3:5,7
Have you ever thought that God is like doing the same wonders but with a little alteration? Have you ever thought that God is showing you the same signs, making you experience the same blessing but with better feels?
The Israelite in Joshua’s leading, experienced the very same process that the Lord did on the exodus from Egypt. Probably because they were all part of second generation Israelites after 40years in the wilderness. Probably because God doesn’t want them relying on how they remember their father’s stories. I bet God wanted them to experience it as well to truly capture their hearts.
Living on second-hand experience is quite difficult, because you just rely on words and sometimes you might feel a little doubt. The Lord could have thought about it, therefore He allowed the second-generation Israelites to undergo the same transition from the wilderness to the promised land.
I’m feeling God telling me to trust Him more as He remind me that as God did to Moses, and to Joshua, He can also do to my life. Therefore, I must consecrate myself, preparing spiritually because this is the time He’ll do the same wonders for me to experience His almighty power just as He did to them.
