Potion For Samhain
Get your herbs and pots, ladies, gentlemen and everyone in between, because we‘re doing some kitchen witchery today!
Samhain is coming up and since it‘s also regarded as the witches‘ new year, I came up with a cleansing, healing and protecting potion to prepare for the upcoming turn of the wheel.
🎃 You will need:
Moon water
A stove
A pot
One or multiple small glass bottles
Dried sage
Dried chamomile
Bay leaves
Dried rosemary sprigs
A strainer
🎃 Steps:
Get your pot and bring moon water to a boil on the stove.
First, you will add the dried sage. It is used to get rid of negative energies. State the intention out loud before stirring the mixture 3 times in a clockwise motion.
After, you will do the same with chamomile which is used to heal the past year‘s wounds. Add it, state the intention, stir three times in a clockwise motion.
Next, cut up the bay leaves for protection and add them to the mixture. State the intention, stir, you know the drill.
Now, it is time to strain the potion so you don’t have to drink a ton of leaves.
Finally, fill the potion into your glass bottle(s). Add a rosemary sprig as rosemary can be used to intensify the properties of all the other herbs. Then, you can close the bottle.
Drink the potion as the clock strikes midnight during Samhain night.
Blessed Samhain to everyone! 👻
