Actually, on that note, are there folks in Chicago with ball jointed dolls who'd be willing to let me do some 'fittings' and take some photos of their dolls with wings like the previous in exchange for a set of said wings?

Halloween wing project for a friend's kiddo for a Rainbow Dash costume.  He was apparently too excited to let her tighten the straps properly, hee.

Vectoring/designed by Samhainpress, manufacture and assembly done by me.

Test was done in corrugated cardboard, main wings done in acrylic with a wooden back.

We'll be making and selling these some time in the future -- this is a prototype that still needs some tweaking.  Also thinking of cutting these in some standard doll sizes (American Girl, a couple different BJD sizes).
