i'm playing dark cloud on my ps2 while my PC is out of commission and i love that game so much and im so nostalgic for it <3

but problem:

i noticed there's no completed archive for all of steve (or super steve) enemy dialogue and idk how to dig through game files, why not give it a shot and see if i can record all of it myself, right?

it's been ~12 hours on this save and i have not even opened dran's door because ive been rerunning floors 9-14 in an attempt to get one, and i just need oNE steVE slingshot for the love of god, just ONE, i'd use save manipulation to get quotes from both versions and get another one later, no biggie, BUT HE WON'T POP UP IN THE DIVINE BEAST CAVE FOR ME

i've probably gotten like 30 or 40 swords at this point, every slingshot drop except for steve, i even have almost completely upgraded weapons for toan and xiao, i have a 7 branch sword and a multishooter both about to get upgraded again

but NOt STEVE

i get a clown in a chest he's like ahaha :o) big box or little box :o)

so i choose the little one because that's where the slingshots come from

ahaha im the joker baby :o) here's a worm :o)

i still love this game to death and i don't mind the grind i would even say it was fun and now I have super OP weapons for the demonshaft but lord please i know he drops in this dungeon i just want to see the boss dialogue for easy reference ;;

WHEN I TELL YOU I TRIPPED THE FUCK OUT. Now that I listen to it more I can definitely hear the difference but the first time I though I was being mind fucked whoo *wipes sweat off brow*

I’d love to hear Sami give a speech or say something lengthy without interruption to listen for more differences.

Rami’s voice is much grittier, maybe from smoking longer than his brother. I have a feeling Sami cut way back or quit bc of his occupation.

Pacing seems different, too. Sami talks pretty quickly in the clip, but to definitely tell if he speaks faster all the time, I’d need more text-evidence.

This could be my imagination, but Sami’s vowels feel much more Californian than his twin’s currently do. Sami may have to become my Cali-boy if Rami insists on staying abroad (goddamnit Rami Malek).

Sami also doesn’t seem to have the lisp Rami has, but again, WE NEED MORE TEXT-EVIDENCE 💛
