In her latest work, All the Best and Brightest Creatures, wordstrings writes that John is “good, but not nice”. This person is like that. I do believe with all my heart that they are fundamentally good; they are a role model to me in that respect. But they are not a nice person by definition of the word “nice”.

At the moment this is very hard for me to answer. The ability to hold on even when the tide turns against me, I’d say.
