Foghorn Stringband perform We are Going to Paint the Town by the Stanley Brothers
I also got to see Foghorn Stringband again last night at Knoxville's glorious Laurel Theater. It'd been a few months since the last time I saw them, and I was more than excited to finally see them again. Last night was the first time I met Reeb, and she's a great addition to the band as well as a lovely lady. Afterwards, they headed to our home, and we played tunes late into the night. If y'all ever have the opportunity to see these folks, make sure not to miss it.
This is not a word I use often, but I feel incredibly blessed to be surrounded by great, authentic music and the musicians that go along with it. There's so much great music comin' out these days, as well as musicians paying homage to the originals that created all these tunes years ago. Perhaps I'm on a high from all the amazing music I've witnessed in the past 24 hours, but I'm extremely proud of my friends and the others out there makin all this sweet sweet music. Yeehaw!
