When I started watching Supernatural, I didn’t expect to find comfort in the show. But something about Sam caught my interest and the longer I watched, the more I realized that for the first time in years I was still alive and there was a heart beating inside my chest.
Sam gave me strength when I thought I couldn’t go on, gave me hope when there was none left; he helped me breathe again. He taught me how to stand up for myself and not to back off in the face of danger, he made me smile again and gave the wordscourage and willpower a whole new meaning.
Sam Winchester made me want to be a better person and thanks to him I’ll never stop fighting for the things that are worth it.
Thank you so much, Jared, for giving this character a voice. You’re a hero.
