Height: 5′2″ ... 5′3″ on a good day.
Favorite Bands: Kpop: 2NEl, f(x), BTS, and pre-S8 SNSD : Non Kpop: Flogging Molly, Fall Out Boy. anything that advertises what early-2000′s Hot Topic trash I am, really.
Meaning of URL: It’s the ‘laughing alone with salad’ thing, but with wincest, borne of a smug-wincest-shipper joke gone horribly, horribly awry.
Last thing I googled: propylene glycol. One of the many ingredients in e-cigs that ratchet me from marginally-fit to dizzy, wheezing asthmatic and mean that they shouldn’t be used in the school computer labs, Guy At Terminal 16.
Sexual orientation: Lesbian with a few exceptions would be way more accurate than saying bi, so let’s just go with that.
One place that makes me happy: I like the beach. But the real kind. I grew up on the Gulf Coast, so we had white sand and blue water just a few minutes away all through my childhood. You could go out to the forts at night, away from all the light pollution, and the stars would spill right into the sea, the universe open and arching overhead, all those stupid city sounds swallowed up by waves and wind and a world that’s been here since the earth was new, and will be here long after we’re gone. There’s not a time when I don’t miss that.
What I’m wearing right now: combat boots, black shorts, black hoodie. There may be a silver wig and cat ear beanie involved.
Last book I read: The Turn of the Screw. I have a paper due on it... Well, let’s not talk about that.
Last thing I said to a family member: “Listen, my sarcastic voice sounds like my regular voice, and your regular voice sounds like your angry voice. It’s how you can tell we’re related.”
Favorite Beverage: Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper, with Caramel Lattes coming in a close second
Favorite Food: Lemon Raspberry Cream Cheesecake
last movie I watched: Stick It.
Dream vacation: Europe, always. I want to see the Hermitage. Go whale watching. And it’d be nice to go to AWA or DragonCon, one of the big conventions back in the Southeast where I could let my comic nerd flag fly, maybe see some of my old college friends.
Dream wedding: Kind of complicated, since it would very probably be to a lady, and my whole family is super conservative. But if I shared that sort of commitment to someone, I’d want my family to be there to celebrate it. I mean, I’m my parents’ only surviving child... I guess my dream wedding would be one where everyone came and was supportive.
Dream Job: I’d love to teach language or literature at the college level, but there’s a few degrees still between where that is and where I am. I’m working on it, but it’s gonna be a long road.
Random Fact: I’ve got some SNHL in my left ear, so if you’re talking really quietly on my left side, I’m not ignoring you, I genuinely cannot hear. Most of the time it’s subtle enough to go unnoticed, but there have been a few awkward moments...
Gonna tag Charity for the first time and Marina again, because peer pressure ;)
