Jensen was flinching in his sleep, having a nightmare about the next episode of SUpernatural they were working on. He didn't know why, things like this didn't happen too often, but he wasn't really caring about that right now, right now he was thinking of just running. Then he felt hands grab him, and the actor jerked awake and fell off the bed and onto the floor. 

Jen let out a groan and looked around, blinking a few times in confusion. "What the...." He trailed off, frowning as he looked around the unfamiliar room.

He was used to being by the shore, even if he wasn't technically supposed to be. He was careful, and he watched out for himself more than anything else. The merman was just watching the waves moving when he spotted the movement a little further out from where he was, despite the fact that there were very few humans on the beach. Keeping the majority of his body beneath the water (except for maybe the peak of his dorsal fin), Dean moved forward.

The waves were pushing hard, but Dean was used to it, he'd lived under water for all of this time that he could deal with currents pretty strong. He didn't know about people, though. Could they swim well enough against the waves? He watched from beneath the water as the man did... whatever he was doing. Dean had never seen it before, couldn't place a name on what it was.

And then the human was in the water and he stared for a moment before realizing that the human definitely could not swim against the waves.

As long as the group didn't find out, he was safe, right?
