How disappointing

The absence of the samurai has likely gone unnoticed, but he is around. He merely keeps out of plain sight, moves and acts when no one is paying mind to their surroundings. At some point, a small tank containing a snow-white snake had found its way into the girl's possession, and with it, a note. Written in surprisingly neat handwriting, and with a little snake drawn down in the corner, it reads 'Happy Birthday, Sung-sun."

Perhaps the Samurai went unnoticed, but the results of his actions do not; specifically his gift, sitting on her bedside table. The note doesn’t say whom it’s from, but she has her suspicions. Leaning down, she gazed into the tank, eyes sweeping over every detail of the small serpent.

What stuck her most, of course, was that it wasn’t hollow. Kaa gained all the sustenance she required just from breathing, but this one would need food, water, warmth…things that were not easy to come by in Hueco Mundo. But it wasn’t as if she could just get rid of it, either. She might have to ask him to keep the snake instead, for those times she went to visit Harribel in their second home. Miranda might appreciate the new playmate as well. Sung-Sun gave a quiet, amused hum at the thought.
