dang, yall really like Cailem’s pants, LOL but they are a real thing!! My initial idea was to mix his religious ties to Indra (Buddhism) with more simple ‘working class’/travel kind of pant and fisherman’s pants hit on everything!

they’re called ‘Gangaeng Chaolay’ or Thai Fisherman’s Pants. There is also a japanese variation called ‘samurai pants’ which are the same as fisherman’s pants or have the ties on the bottom of the leg (last two images).
