[Request] Piercing Strength

This one was requested by @samury-pancakes. Effie has a very simplistic color scheme, but I think it looks really, really cute with Spear Master! (I’ve never made her a Spear Master in Fates, so that might be worth trying on my own time)

I absolutely love your art, it makes me very happy to see as a queer WoC. Also fuck I love scars on girls they're SO GOOD!! That said though, I have a question, purely out of curiosity. I see a lot of artists on here draw white characters as black/dif shades of brown. So my question is, why? When you draw, say, Camilla, do you think "Imma make her a black goddess" or do you just do it unconsciously bc you're used to it? I'd love to know, and I'd love to see more of it ♡

And hum, I first started drawing white characters darker back in my RWBY days, where I followed people who were both ‘if this character is supposed to represent oppressed people, their skintone should follow it’ with Blake, and some PoC who just saw themselves in characters and gave them a darker skintone, with Pyrrha.

And I saw how happy it made people to connect through characters who looked more like them, and I wanted to add to that happiness (it Also was because I absolutely love color contrasts, and making more people dark-skinned gave me a lot more color palettes to play around with bc drawing everyone the same shade of white is fucking boring.) And it also fit in very well with my philosophy to keep how I draw characters as diverse and interesting and different from each other as I can learn to do. I hate that generic anime crap.

Now with some FE characters, say like, Azura and Olivia, I go for canon reasons. Olivia is from Ferox, Basilio and Flavia are black, follows she should be too. For Azura, Valla is partially based on India, and once I learned that fact I started making her darker (also because I saw other people do it before, and blue/brown/white is one of my favorite color schemes).

With Camilla…well it was definitely a conscious choice, but I think with her it mostly followed the ‘oh light purple and dark brown look super nice together’ idea

Sometimes there’s a reason connected to where they are from, sometimes it’s just ‘ooo colors’, but yeah! That’s why I make the decisions I do

Hey! I'm the anon who claimed an unhealthy amount of supports. I always ask on anon bc very shy. Anyway, 1) hi ily i hope u have a great day 2) I wanna do the Kanas because I've got the twin Kanas mod (and everyone should def get it) and the game does recognize them as sibs so they have a C-A. I'll think of something cute. 3) The amiibo thing is odd because Lucina can S rank most of the units she can support. Is this issue only a thing for the male amiibo? That'd be a darn shame.

i saw your art and SCREAMED because i've been working on my own fe x yoi au for like a week now, but i'm writing it because i can't art, but i'm just so glad there's more people out there who appreciate these series enough to cross them over. i'm making yuuri a samurai and viktor a great lord and i'm setting it in the yoi world rather than fates because i wanted to keep everyone's nationalities. ALSO YURIO IS A TAGUEL (TIGER). IT FITS HIM VERY WELL.

[Request] Like grandmother, like grandson.

This was another request, this time from @samury-pancakes. Shigure sporting his grandmother’s colors. Not gonna lie, I personally feel like there was wasted potential for this texture, but for multiple reasons, some of which I could not do anything about. Still though, I think this is rather decent. (Salt below the read more)

So, when I first wanted to tackle this two weekends ago, I thought I might try using the Dark Mage’s body model for a base, since it would look in-line with Arete’s open chest. However as I was testing it...

Oh boy, more tearing...

Normally, I’d just quit there, but during this time, Puddles, one of the now more frequent modders on the server, was tinkering around with Body and Outer Clothing Models. I had learned earlier that some model parings have a stretching issues with capes because the Body model has differently named bones from the Outer clothing bones, and that by renaming one of the two sets of bones in a hexadecimal editor, we could rectify the issue. EXCEPT...

So yeah. Without doing some actual custom modeling, that’s where the road ends. A shame really. 

Anyhow, the next texture I do will be the last one before I’m ready to post version 3.2 of the texture patch. And let me say; there’s a lot of stuff you haven’t seen yet thanks to Moonling.

SALUTATIONS. I see you're doing commissions now! So I'm thinking...would it be possible to make a Camilla with the Nohrian Queen outfit from FEH? Perhaps for both malig knight and a healer class? I'd buy that in a HEARTBEAT.

I haven't played Fates in a while due to Pokémon fever, but thank you so much for your work! The Jakob and Shigure are SLAYING and I'm especially fond of all the love you've given Flora. I'll check out the update when I inevitably return to Fates. Hope you're doing well! 💖
